장애 아동의 비장애 형제 지원을 위한 국내 중재연구 동향 및 향후 과제

Trends and Future Tasks of Domestic Research Related to Intervention for Supporting Non-Disabled Siblings of Individuals with Disabilities

본 연구의 목적은 장애 아동의 비장애 형제를 대상으로 실행된 국내 중재연구를 분석하여 관련 연구의 전반적인 연구 동향을 파악하고 후속 연구에 대한 방향을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 검색 시점을 기준으로 2021년까지 한국연구재단 학술등재지 및 등재후보지에 발표된 관련 논문 중 본 연구의 목적에 부합되는 논문 총 34편을 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 국내에서 비장애 형제 지원을 위한 연구는 1997년 처음 발표된 이래 2021년까지 꾸준히 진행되었으며 주로 상담·심리 분야와 특수교육의 학술 분야에서 이루어졌다. 둘째, 연구는 주로 집단실험연구로 이루어졌으며 참여한 비장애 형제는 학령기 아동이 가장 많았다. 셋째, 중재는 집단미술치료 프로그램을 실시한 연구가 가장 많았으며 주로 비장애 형제의 감정 인식과 표현, 가족애 대한 이해와 수용의 내용으로 구성되었다. 넷째, 중재의 효과는 정서·행동의 변화, 장애 형제 및 가족 관계 향상, 자기 이해 및 성장으로 범주화할 수 있었다. 결과를 바탕으로 후속 연구의 방향을 논의하였으며 비장애 형제를 위한 다양한 연구 유형과 주제로 양질의 연구가 활발히 이루어져 이들을 위한 연구의 양적 증대가 이루어져야 할 필요성 등에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic experimental studies to support siblings of individuals with disabilities to identify overall research trends in related studies and to suggest directions for future studies. For this purpose, among the related papers published in academic journals by 2021, a total of 34 papers meeting the purpose of this study were selected and analyzed. As a result, first, research on support for non-disabled siblings in Korea has been conducted steadily until 2021 since it was first announced in 1997, and was mainly conducted in the academic field of counseling/psychology and special education. Second, the study was mainly conducted as a group experimental study, and the number of non-disabled siblings who participated were elementary school-age children the most. Third, there were many studies that conducted group art therapy programs, and the intervention consisted of content centered on art activities for psychological support of non-disabled siblings. Fourth, the effects of intervention were found to be changes in emotions and behaviors, improvement of relationships with siblings with disabilities and family, and self-understanding and growth. Based on these results, the direction of follow-up research was discussed, and it was suggested that quantitative expansion of research on various subjects on non-disabled siblings as well as intervention research is necessary.
