연쇄살인 안에 내재된 인간의 시기심에 관한 고찰

Reflections on the Inherent Human Envy in Serial Murderer : Focused on Klein’s Theory

본 연구는 연쇄살인 안에 내재된 인간의 시기심에 관해 Klein의 이론을 중심으로 고찰하였다. Klein은 시기심을 선천적 공격성의 형태로 보았다. 시기심은 연쇄살인과 같이 파괴적이고 공격적인 면을 가지고 있지만 인간 발달을 위한 출발점이기도 하다. 이러한 시기심을 발달의 출발점으로 삼기 위해서 시기심에 대한 인식이 필요하다. 인식 과정은 존재 자체로서의 인정과 존중을 통해 만족감을 경험하게 하고 결국 감사와 회복으로 이끈다. 본 연구에서는 시기심을 연쇄살인의 심리와 행위에 대입시켜 이들의 공격성과 파괴적인 행동에 대해 분석하였다. 물론 연쇄살인의 원인은 다양하지만 본 연구에서는 초기 대상관계의 결핍으로 인한 과도한 시기심을 연쇄살인의 원인으로 보았다. 시기심은 Klein의 후기이론으로 시기심을 감사와 회복으로 이끄는 기제에 관해 Klein의 주요 이론인 편집-분열자리, 우울자리, 투사적 동일시 등의 주요 개념을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 시기심을 감사로 이끌기 위한 기독 상담자의 역할에 대해 논의하였다.

This study focused on Klein's theory on human envy in serial murder. Klein saw envy as a form of innate aggression. Envy has a destructive and aggressive side like serial killers, but it is also a starting point for human development. In order to take this envy as the starting point of development, it is necessary to recognize envy. The recognition process leads to a feeling of satisfaction through recognition and respect for being itself, and ultimately leads to gratitude and recovery. In this study, the aggression and destructive behavior of serial killers were analyzed by substituting envy into the psychology and behavior of serial killers. Of course, there are various causes of serial murder, but in this study, excessive envy due to the lack of initial object relationship was regarded as the cause of serial murder. As Klein's later theory, envy is the mechanism that leads to gratitude and recovery, focusing on the main concepts of Klein's main theories, paranoid-schizoid position, depressive position and projective identification. Based on this, the role of the Christian counselor to lead envy to gratitude was discussed.
