Background: The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception and needs of the ethics education of prospective optometrists and optometry students so that ethical education can be systematized. Methods: This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 118 students in the optometry students in Korea. Statistical analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS 28.0 program, the collected data was frequented and percentaged, Independent t-tests and member variance analysis, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression. Results: The result showed that the relationship between ethical education needs and ethical responsibility was positively correlated with r=0.057 and p<0.001, and the relationship between ethical education experience and ethical values was positively correlated with r=0.194 and p=0.035 (+). A simple model regression analysis to determine the impact of ethical education experiences on ethical values showed that F=4.555, R 2=0.038 (p=0.035).The ethical education experience was shown with a non-standardization coefficient of b=0.271, indicating that the ethical education experience had a significant impact on ethical values (p<0.05), and the revised decision coefficient (R 2) was 0.029. Since the b sign is static (+), it has been shown that as the experience of ethical education increases, so does the ethical value. Conclusion: This study is significant as a paper that analyzed the perception and needs of ethical education among prospective opticians who are experts in eye health. Based on this, there is a need for continuous research on the contents and methods of ethical education that can strengthen the ethical awareness of the optometry students through job analysis of a professional optometrists who will responsible for eye health.
