스토리텔링을 활용한 조각 감상 활동이 작품 해석에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Sculpture Appreciation Activities of Using Storytelling on Art Interpretation

본 연구는 스토리텔링을 활용한 조각 감상 활동이 감상자의 작품 해석에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 남양주시 소재 00초등학교 5학년 27 명을 대상으로 진행한 실행연구이다. 입체 예술인 조각을 감상하기 위한 방법으로스토리텔링을 활용하는 수업 모형을 재구성하여 수업에 적용하였다. 연구 결과는 해석에 대한 선행 연구 고찰을 통해 추출한 작품 해석의 요소에 따라 본 연구의 목적에 맞게 수집한 자료들을 분석하였다. 분석 결과로 학생들이 조각 작품을 해석할 때 소재 찾기, 주제 찾기, 의미 만들기, 배경 알기 능력이 향상되었으며 조각 감상에 흥미를 느끼게 되었다는 결론을 도출하였다. 스토리텔링을 활용한 조각 감상 활동이 작품과 감상자의 상호작용을 촉진하고 학생 중심 감상 활동의 기회를 제공함으로써다양한 예술의 삶 속에서 향수 할 수 있는 교양인으로 성장하는 밑거름이 될 수 있다는 교육적 시사점을 제안한다.

This study attempted to help support students to be artisticallyliterate citizens who can enjoy various beauty of art by providing them with an actual experience of appreciating 3d sculptural art. This study proposed a sculpture appreciation teaching model using storytelling and designed a program at Moran Museum. In order to enhance the validity of the research results, various qualitative data were collected. The results are as below. First, the learner's ability to find and describe the subject was strengthened. Second, the students' ability to find a topic has been improved. Third, the student's ability to make their own new meaning has been enhanced. Fourth, when interpreting the work, the learner's ability to connect contextual information with artworks was cultivated. This study concluded that sculpture appreciation activities using storytelling had a significant effect on learners' interpretation. Although there is not one way to appreciate sculptures, it is significant that elementary school students gained more interest in appreciating sculptures with storytelling.
