국내 생활폐기물 소각시설의 투입폐기물 발열량 및 소각성능 평가

Evaluation of waste calorific values and incineration performance of MSW

The incineration treatment capacity was evaluated by comparing the design lower heating value (LHV), operating LHV, and LHV of wastes using the heat-balance method for domestic MSWI (Municipal Solid Waste Incineration) facilities. As a result of comparing the design LHV with the operating LHV, it was found that the operating LHV increased by about 734 kcal/kg(-216-2,450) on average from the design LHV. In addition, the difference between the LHVs calculated by the input/output method and the operating LHV was about 111 kcal/kg(-412 – 539) on average. Even though the operating LHV differed the LHV derived from design and heat-balance method, the heat-balance method to predict the practical LHV was more sophisticated. In the case of the LHV of waste, it is necessary to handle the LHV using the heat-balance method in order to accurately calculate the LHV because it fluctuates greatly depending on the nature, region, and seasonal influence of the waste. For this reason, the judgment is required to investigate the thermal characteristics of the waste through pilot-scale incineration equipment.
