위기청소년에 관한 글로벌 연구 동향 분석

Examining the global research trend on ‘youth at risk’: Focusing on a keyword network analysis

위기청소년은 우리나라의 청소년복지 및 교육복지 정책과 사업에서 주요하게 다루는 제도적·실천적 대상이자, 다양한 분야에서 수많은 연구자가 관련 연구를 수행한 연구주제이다. 본 연구에서는 web of science를 통해 1995년부터 2022년까지 위기청소년을 핵심 주제로 한 전 세계의 학술지 논문을 검색하여 총 114편의 논문을 대상으로 논문의 주요한 특징에 대한 빈도분석과 키워드 네트워크 분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과, 위기청소년에 관한 논문이 게재된 학술지의 학문영역은 사회복지, 가족학, 교육학, 범죄학, 심리학 등 다양하며, 위기청소년 연구의 키워드는 선호적 연결패턴보다는 산발적 연결패턴을 보이고 소수의 키워드가 일정한 패턴 없이 다른 다양한 다수 키워드와 연계되는 특징을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 그리고 위기청소년을 중심으로 상위 네트워크를 형성하고, 그 하위에는 회복탄력성-긍정적 청소년개발-멘토링이 연계된 네트워크, 학교-경험-협력이 연계된 네트워크, 폭력배-사회적 관계망-부모-예방이 연계된 네트워크가 두드러진 하위 네트워크인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구를 통해 전 세계적으로 수행된 위기청소년 연구의 주요한 추세를 확인하고 키워드 네트워크에 담긴 종합적인 연구 동향을 제시하였고, 이를 바탕으로 이론적·실천적 시사점에 대해 논의하고 향후 위기청소년 연구의 방향을 제언하였다.

The issue of at-risk youths is an important research topic addressed in diverse fields, and is also regarded as an institutional and practical target group in South Korea by youth and educational welfare policies and practices. This study conducted frequency analysis and keyword network analysis on key themes using a total of 114 academic journal articles through the Web of Science's database on at-risk youths published for the period from 1995 to 2022. The results show that research articles concerning youth at risk were published in various academic fields including social work, family studies, education, criminology, pscyhology, and so on. The keyword networks indicate sporadic patterns in terms of the connections among the keywords. Also, the keyword network analysis has resulted in several main sub-networks. We identified major trends in at-risk youth research and suggested a comprehensive research trend found through the keyword network analysis. On the basis of our findings, we also discussed implications for theory, research, and practices on at-risk youths.
