This study is a descriptive survey study to understand the effect of self-efficacy, depression, and anger on health promotion behavior in male and female college students. A structured questionnaire was distributed to 210 students enrolled in four universities located in D Metropolitan City from May 02 to May 31, 2022. Using the SPSS Statistics 23.0 Program, the difference between technical statistics and general characteristics was analyzed by Pearson’s correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis on the relationship between t-test, ANOVA, self-efficacy, depression, anger, and health promotion behavior. As a result of the study, self-efficacy was 3.24±0.46 points, depression was 2.62±0.32 points, anger was 2.42±0.47 points, and health promotion behavior was 2.56±0.46 points. Factors affecting health promotion behavior were self-efficacy and anger, and explanatory power was 43%. The factor that had the most influence on health promotion behavior was self-efficacy. Based on the results of this study, it is considered necessary to develop and apply an intervention program that can improve self-efficacy.
