초등 고학년 시기 아동의 양육지각 및 반추가 학교적응에 미치는 영향에 대한 종단연구

A Longitudinal Studies on the Relationship among the Rumination, Children’s Perception of Parenting and School Adjustment in Late Childhood

본 연구의 목적은 초등 고학년 시기인 약 3년 동안 아동의 양육지각 및 아동반추 그리고 학교적응 간 관련성을 종단적으로 분석하고 학교적응에 영향을 주는 간접적인 세부 경로를 탐색하는 것이다. 연구 자료는 한국연구재단의 사업과제(2017-2020)에서 조사된 종단 자료를 활용하였다. 양육지각 및 반추가 학교적응과의 관련성을 보이는가를 알아보고자 구조방정식을 실시하였고, 학교적응에 미치는 직․간접적인 영향을 알아보고자 경로효과를 검증하였다. 분석결과, 학교적응에 관련을 보이는 변인에서 학년마다 차이를 보였다. 가령, 초등 4학년 시기에는 양육지각이 학교적응과 직접적 관련을 보였으며 5학년 시기에는 아동반추가 학교적응과 직접적 관련을 보였다. 그러나 초등 6학년 시기에서는 양육지각이나 반추가 학교적응과 아무런 직접적 관련을 보이지 않았다. 아동의 양육지각은 학년마다 반추와 정적 관련을 보이면서 반추를 통해 간접적으로 학교적응과 관련을 보였다. 학교적응에 미치는 직․간접적인 경로효과를 검증한 결과, 초등 4학년 양육지각은 4학년 학교적응에 직접적으로 부적 영향을 주었으며, 3개의 간접 경로를 통해 5, 6학년 학교적응에 부적인 영향을 주었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 초등 4학년 시기 아동이 지각한 부모의 거부․제재적 양육에 대한 양육지각은 다양한 간접 경로를 통해 초등 6학년 시기의 학교적응에 부적으로 영향을 줄 가능성을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the longitudinal relationship among children’s perception of rejection and control in parenting style, their rumination and school adjustment in late childhood. The data used in this study was gathered from the longitudinal data(2017-2020) conducted by the National Research Foundation(NRF) of Korea. According to the results. the perception of rejection and control in parenting at the 4th year has a direct effect on the school adjustment at the 4th year and an indirect effect on the school adjustment at the 5th and 6th year. Children’s rumination at the 4th year has no direct effect on school adjustment at the 4th year, but their ruminations at the 5th year has a direct effect on at their school adjustment. Children’s perception of rejection and control in parenting style has a direct effect on their rumination. In addition, the results showed that children’s perception of rejection and control in parenting at the 4th year has an effect on their school adjustment at the 6th year by the indirect 3 pathways. This results suggests that children’s perception of rejection and control parenting style at the 4th year should be an important variable to their school adjustment in late childhood.
