노인요양시설 요양보호사의 직무스트레스가 노인학대인식에 미치는 영향 - 직업정체성의 조절효과를 중심으로 -

The Influence of Job Stress of the Long-term Care Workers on The perception of elder abuse: Focused on the Moderating Effect of Occupational Identity

본 연구의 목적은 노인요양시설 요양보호사의 직업정체성을 조절변수로 설정하여 직무스트레스와 노인학대인식과의 관계를 완충하는지 검증하기 위한 것이다. 연구를 위하여 부산광역시의 노인요양시설에서 근무하는 요양보호사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 209부의 유효 응답지를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료 분석 방법으로 직무스트레스와 노인학대인식 및 직업정체성의 수준을 알아 보기위해 기술통계방법을 사용하였고, 주요변수의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 상관관계분석을 사용하였으며, 직무스트레스와 노인학대인식과의 관계에서 직업정체성의 조절효과를 검증하기 위해 다중회귀분석이 사용되었다. 연구결과를 요약하면 첫째, 요양보호사의 직무스트레스는 요양보호사의 노인학대인식에 부적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 요양보호사의 직업정체성은 요양보호사의 노인학대인식에 정적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 요양보호사의 직무스트레가 노인학대인식에 미치는 영향은 요양보호사의 직업정체성의 수준에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 요양보호사의 직업정체성은 요양보호사의 직무스트레스와 노인학대인식의 관계를 조절하는 변수라는 것이 증명되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 요양보호사의 노인학대인식을 제고시킴으로써 서비스 제공과정에서 발생할 수 있는 노인학대를 예방하기 위한 방안을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of job stress of the long term care workers on their perception of elder abuse focusing on the moderating effect of occupational identity. To search these findings, survey was conducted onto the care workers who are working at long-term care facilities and 209 questionnaires were used for analysis. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlational analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were used. The analysis showed three major findings. First, job stress of the long term care workers significantly influenced their perception of elder abuse negatively. Second, occupational identity of th e long term care workers significantly influenced their perception of elder abuse negatively. Third, the effect of job stress of the long term care workers on their perception of elder abuse was changed according to the level of occupational identity. That is. occupational identity was found to be a variable to moderate the effect of job stress of the long term care workers on perception of elder abuse Based on these results, methods to increase perception of elder abuse of the long term care workers were discussed.
