마을교육공동체에 대한 학부모의 인식 변화 추이와 영향 요인 분석

Analysis of the Influencing Factors and Changes in Parents' Perception on the Village Education Community

본 연구는 학부모가 인식하는 마을교육공동체 인지도, 필요성 인식 변화 추이 및 교사와 학교장의 학교조직 영향 요인을 양적연구 방법을 활용하여 분석함으로써 마을교육공동체 활성화를 위한 정책적 시사점을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부산교육종단연구 2차년도(초5), 4차년도(중1), 6차년도(중3) 시점의 데이터를 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Modeling)과 다중회귀분석 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 주요 분석 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. ① 학부모의 마을교육공동체 초기 인지도가 학부모의 마을교육공동체 필요성 초기치에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 학부모의 마을교육공동체 인지도 변화 정도 역시 학부모의 마을교육공동체 필요성의 변화 정도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. ② 학부모의 자녀학교 교육만족도에서는 학교가 학생 안전을 위해 노력하고, 방과후 프로그램이 다양하면서 창의적일수록 학부모의 마을교육공동체 인지도에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있었다. ③ 자녀교육 부담 정도에서는 자녀와의 의사소통이 잘 되지 않고, 가정의 인성교육이 잘 될수록 학부모의 마을교육공동체 인지도가 높았다. ④ 교사의 마을교육공동체 인지도가 학부모의 마을교육공동체 인지도에 영향을 주며, 학교장과 교사가 마을교육공동체에 대해 잘 알고 있는 것이 학부모의 마을교육공동체 필요성 인식을 높이는데 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 분석 결과에 기초하여 본 연구는 정책 제언으로 학부모, 교사, 학교장 대상의 마을교육공동체 정책 홍보 강화, 학부모의 마을교육공동체 참여 내용과 범주의 명시화, 마을교육공동체 효과 분석 필요, 마을교육공동체의 협력적 거버넌스 구축 등을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to derive policy implications for revitalizing the village education community (VEC) by analyzing the changes in parents’ perception of the VEC and the influencing factors of the school organization such as teachers and principals using a quantitative research method. To this end, data from the 2nd year (primary 5), 4th year (middle school 1), and 6th year (middle school 3) of the Busan Education Longitudinal Study (BELS) were analyzed using latent growth modeling and multiple regression analysis methods. The main analysis results are summarized as follows. First, parents' initial awareness of the VEC had a positive effect on the initial value of the parents' need for the VEC, and the degree of change in the parents' awareness of the VEC also had a positive effect on the change level of the parents' need for the VEC. Second, the more diverse and creative the after-school programs were, the more positive the parents' awareness of the VEC was. Third, the less communication with the children and the better character education at home, the higher parents' awareness of the VEC. Fourth, it was found that teachers' awareness of the VEC influenced parents' awareness of the VEC, and that the principal and teachers’ awareness of the VEC had an effect on raising parents' awareness of the necessity of the VEC. This study suggested to strengthen public relations of the VEC, to clarify the contents and categories of parents' participation in the VEC, to analyze the effect of the VEC, and to build cooperative governance.
