본 연구의 목적은 기혼남녀의 가족 의사소통과 성생활 만족 및 부부적응의 관계를 탐색하고, 부부의 성생활 만족도가 가족 의사소통과 부부적응 사이에서 어떠한 역할을 하는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 상담센터를 방문한 기혼남녀 총 121명을 대상으로 가족 의사소통 수준과 성생활 만족도 및 부부적응 수준에 대해 설문하였고 인구사회학적 변인에 따른 t 검증, 일원분산분석, 상관관계분석, 위계적 회귀분석, sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 가족 의사소통과 부부의 성생활 만족, 가족의사소통과 부부적응, 부부의 성생활 만족과 부부적응 간에 유의미한 정적 상관이 관찰되었으며, 부부의 성생활 만족이 가족 의사소통과 부부적응의 관계에 부분 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 가족 의사소통이 부부적응에 직접적으로 영향을 주기도 하지만, 성생활 만족도를 거쳐 간접적으로 영향을 주는 것으로 드러나, 가족 구성원들 간에 만족스러운 의사소통을 하는 기혼남녀는 부부의 성생활에서도 더 높은 만족도를 형성하여 궁극적으로 부부관계의 적응 및 만족 수준을 향상시키는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이에 부부적응을 높이기 위한 가족의 의사소통수준과 성생활 만족도에 대한 제안을 논의에 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among family communication, sexual satisfaction, and marital adjustment of married men and women, and to identify the role of sexual satisfaction between family communication and marital adjustment. A total of 121 married men and women were surveyed. A t-test, one-way ANOVA, hierarchical regression analysis, and a Sobel test were performed according to demographic variables. Significant positive correlations were observed between family communication and sexual satisfaction, between family communication and marital adjustment, and between sexual satisfaction and marital satisfaction. The partial mediating effect of sexual satisfaction was found between family communication and marital adjustment, indicating that married men and women who communicate satisfactorily with family members form a higher level of sexual satisfaction, ultimately improving the adjustment and satisfaction level of the marital relationship.
