유아교육기관 바깥놀이터에 관한 연구동향 분석

An Analysis of Research Trends on Outdoor Playgrounds at Early Childhood Education Institutions

본 연구는 유아교육기관의 바깥놀이터에 관한 최근 국내 연구동향을 분석함으로써 유아를 위한 바깥놀이터의 교육적 함의를 찾아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2002년부터 2021년까지 국내 한국연구재단 등재후보 및 등재 학술지에 게재된 유아교육기관의 바깥놀이터 관련 연구 46편을 선정하였다. 선정된 논문을 대상으로 연구시기, 연구대상기관, 연구주제, 연구방법 별로 빈도와 백분율을 산출하여 경향성을 알아보았다. 분석한 결과를 연구문제별로 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 연구 시기로는 2017년부터 2021년까지의 연구 수가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 연구대상 기관은 어린이집에 관련한 연구가 가장 많이 수행된 것으로 나타났다. 연구주제로는 바깥놀이터의 의미 및 인식 주제를 가장 많이 다루었으며 양적방법을 사용한 연구방법이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에 대해 각 분석범주 별로 논의를 전개하고 유아를 위한 바깥놀이터 연구가 활성화 될 수 있는 방안과 앞으로 연구되어야 할 분야에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to determine educational implications of outdoor playgrounds for children by analyzing recent domestic research trends on these kinds of playgrounds at early childhood institutions. To this end, 46 studies related to the outdoor playgrounds of early childhood education institutions published in domestic journals from 2002 to 2021 were selected and analyzed. Frequencies and percentages were calculated for each research period, research target institution, research topic, and research method for the selected papers. The results of the analysis found that the numbers of studies from 2017 to 2021 were the largest, and the research target institution was the most frequently conducted research on daycare centers. In regards to research topic, topics related to the perceptions and meaning about facilities and environment of outdoor playgrounds were the most covered, and research methods using quantitative methods were found to be the most utilized. The results of this study provided implications for each analysis category as well as the revitalization of research on outdoor playgrounds for children.
