교수 경험을 통한 무용 교수자의 미적 발달과정

The Aesthetic Development Process of Dance Instructors Through Teaching Experience

본 연구는 무용 교수자들의 교수 경험을 통해 미적 발달이 이루어지는 과정을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 무용 교수자 6인을 선정하여 내러티브 인터뷰 기법으로 자료를 수집하고 질적 내용분석을 통해 분류하고 범주화하였다. 연구결과, 무용 교수자들의 미적 발달은 감각·사고·행위를 중심으로 ‘몸틀을 만들다, 느끼다, 생각하다, 표현하다, 연결하다’의 과정으로 구분되었다. 첫 번째 단계 ‘몸틀을 만들다’는 기본적인 신체훈련 과정으로 신체의 기능적·표현적·태도적 측면을 포함한다. 두 번째 단계 ‘느끼다’는 무용 고유의 특성을 보고 느끼는 감각이며 물리적 특성, 경험, 지식, 감정과 연관된다. 세 번째 단계 ‘생각하다’는 무용을 통한 사유의 과정으로 무용에 대한 지식과 경험을 연결한다. 네 번째 단계 ‘표현하다’는 신체의 고유성, 움직임의 원리, 신체를 사용하는 방식을 통해 자신만의 스타일을 형성한다. 다섯 번째 단계 ‘연결하다’는 감각과 사고와 행위가 통합적으로 작용하면서 유기적으로 연결되는 성숙한 단계이다. 무용을 통한 미적 발달은 무용 경험이 축적될수록 감각·사고·행위의 범주들이 유기적으로 연결되고 서로 영향을 미치면서 더욱 높은 수준의 발달을 이루게 된다. 미적 발달의 수준이 높아질수록 보고 느끼고 생각하고 수행하는 과정이 통합적으로 이루어진다는 것이다. 또한 고도의 미적 발달을 이루기 위해서는 사고의 영역이 중요하다는 것을 확인하였다.

This study attempted to understand the process of aesthetic development through the teaching experience of dance instructors. To this end, six dance instructors were selected, data were collected using narrative interview techniques, and classified and categorized through qualitative content analysis. As a result of the study, the aesthetic development of dance instructors was divided into the process of 'making a body frame, feeling, thinking, expressing, and connecting' focusing on senses, thoughts, and actions. The first step 'making a body frame' is a basic physical training process that includes the functional, expressive, and attitude aspects of the body. The second step, 'feel', is a sense that sees and feels the unique characteristics of dance and is related to physical characteristics, experiences, knowledge, and emotions. The third step, 'think', is a process of thinking through dance, connecting knowledge and experience of dance. The fourth step, 'expression', forms one's own style through the uniqueness of the body, the principle of movement, and the way the body is used. The fifth step, 'to connect', is a mature step in which senses, thoughts, and actions work integrally and are organically connected. As the aesthetic development through dance accumulates, the categories of senses, thoughts, and actions are organically connected and affect each other, achieving a higher level of development. The higher the level of aesthetic development, the more integrated the process of seeing, feeling, thinking, and performing takes place. In addition, it was confirmed that the area of thinking is important to achieve high aesthetic development.
