케이팝 안무 제작 방식 변화에 관한 연구 : 퍼포먼스 디렉터 중심으로

A study on the changes in the way K-pop choreography is made : Focusing on the performance director

본 연구의 목적은 케이팝 아이돌그룹 1세대부터 4세대까지의 변화된 안무 제작 방식에 대해 조사함으로써 향후 케이팝 안무 제작방식의 발전 가능성을 제시하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 케이팝 퍼포먼스 디렉터 6인을 선정하여 안무 제작 방식 변화에 대한 면담 자료를 연구하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 내용을 도출하였다. 첫째, 시대적 흐름에 따라 영상매체가 발전되면서 안무시안 영상이 활성화되었다. 둘째, 케이팝이 흥행함에 따라 자본이 확대되었다. 셋째, 투자 자금이 확대되면서 한 명의 안무가가 창작하는 방식에서 여러 안무가의 안무를 섞는 방식으로 변화되고 있다는 것을 볼 수 있다. 이처럼 안무 제작 방식에는 환경적 요인의 영향을 받아 꾸준히 발전되었고 앞으로 케이팝 안무의 발전 가능성을 위한 협동 작업의 효과성에 대한 후속 연구를 제안하며, 메타버스에서 퍼포먼스 표현법 혹은 그 공간에서만 보여줄 수 있는 시각적인 특수효과(VFX) 기술에 대해 분석하고 고찰해야 함을 본 연구는 제시해주고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to present the possibility of development of K-pop choreography production methods in the future by investigating the changed choreography production methods of the first to fourth generations of K-pop idol groups. In this study, six domestic K-pop performance directors were selected to study and analyze interview data on changes in choreography production methods, and the following contents were derived. Firstly, due to new generation’s interest of video content development, the choreography draft video has been actively produced. Secondly, there is an increase in capital as K-pop is becoming popular. Thirdly, as investment funds expand, it can be seen that it is changing from the way one choreographer creates to the way several choreographers mix choreography. As such, the choreography production method has been continuously developed under the influence of environmental factors, and we propose a follow-up study on the effectiveness of cooperative work for the future potential of K-pop choreography. This study suggests that the performance expression method in the metaverse or the visual special effect (VFX) technology that can only be shown in that space should be analyzed and considered.
