The Study on the Domestic Inflow and Development of House Dance

본 연구는 국내 하우스댄스의 유입과 발전에 대해 그 과정 전반을 밝혀 특성을 파악하고 향후 하우스댄스 문화의 발전방안을 제시하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 방법으로 Giorgi의 분석방법과 현상학적 접근법을 활용하였고, 선행연구 및 문헌조사와 함께 국내 하우스댄스 문화권에서 오랜 기간 활동한 3명을 대상으로 반구조화면담와 비구조화면담를 혼합하여 진행하였다. 그 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 하우스댄스의 직접적 유입은 1990년대 후반 일본 하우스댄스 댄서의 방한과 2000년대 초 미국 하우스댄스 댄서들의 방한으로 춤과 문화가 직접적으로 전수됨에 의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국내 하우스댄스의 간접적 유입은 1990년대 후반 일본 하우스댄스 행사 영상이 비디오테이프의 형태로 전파됨에 의한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 국내 하우스댄스의 발전은 제도권 교육으로의 편입, 하우스댄스 비전공자의 유입, 인터넷의 발달과 온라인 매체의 활용이 주요하게 작용한 것으로 나타난다. 이런 과정 속에서 문화전파, 프로슈머 등의 현상이 발생했음을 확인하였다. 본 연구가 국내 하우스댄스의 유입과 발전과정을 객관적으로 조명하고, 문화의 자생력 확보를 위한 선진적 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of the overall process of the inflow and development of house dance in Korea and to present ways to develop house dance culture in the future. To this end, Giorgi's analysis method and phenomenology approach were used. Semi-structured interviews and unstructured interviews were mixed for three people who have been active for a long time in Korean house dance culture along with previous studies and literature surveys. The findings are as follows. First, it was found that the direct inflow of domestic house dance was directly transferred by Japanese house dance dancers in the late 1990s and American house dance dancers in the early 2000s. Second, it was found that the indirect inflow of domestic house dance was due to the spread of videos of Japanese house dance events in the late 1990s in the form of videotapes. Third, the development of domestic house dance appears to have played a major role in the integration into institutional education, the influx of house dance non-specialists, the development of the Internet, and the use of online media. In this process, it was confirmed that phenomena such as cultural propagation and prosumer occurred. This study can objectively shed light on the inflow and development process of domestic house dance and be used as developmental data to secure its cultural self-sustaining power.
