노년 세대가 경험한 행복과 국가 역할의 관계에 대한 맥락-패턴 분석

Context-pattern analysis of the relationship between the happiness and the role of the state experienced by older generations

이 연구의 목적은 행복과 국가 역할의 관계에 대한 노년 세대의 경험을 파악하고자 하는 것이었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해서, 이 연구에서는 노년 세대 남녀를 대상으로 한 면접을 통해 자료를 수집하고, 질적 연구접근 중 하나인 맥락-패턴 분석방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과같다. 노년 세대 연구 참여자들은 기본적인 국가 지원을 인식하고 있으며 그에 대해 만족하고 있는 것으로나타났다. 우리나라의 국가 개입 수준, 정책, 복지 수준에 대해서도 대체로 긍정적으로 평가하고 있지만, 그 이상에 대해서는 정치적 이념이 반영된 관점에 따라 의견이 엇갈렸다. 국가의 역할과 행복 사이의관계는 복합적, 순차적으로 파악하지 못하고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과에 근거하여, 노년 세대 국민의행복 수준과 국가의 역할에 대한 인식수준을 높일 수 있는 정책과 실천지침들을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to understand the older generation’s experience of relationship between happiness and the role of the state. To achieve this goal, this study collected data through interviews with elderly men and women, and analyzed them by applying the context-pattern analysis method, one of the qualitative research approaches. The results are as follows. It was found that participants were aware of basic state support and were satisfied with it. The level of national intervention, policies, and welfare in Korea are generally evaluated positively, but opinions differed depending on the viewpoint reflecting political ideology. However, the relationship between the role of the state and happiness was not grasped in a complex and sequential manner. Based on these research results, policies and practice guidelines were proposed to increase the level of happiness and awareness of the role of the state on the elderly people.
