가야금 정악 농현의 음악 음향학적 연구

A Musical Acoustics Study for Gayageum Jeongak Vibrato: With Focus on Music by Choi Choong-woong

본 연구에서는 가야금 정악의 농현을 독자적으로 이해할 수 있는 과학적 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 목적으로, 퇴성과 전성, 추성이 나타나는 음의 크기를 중심으로 가야금 정악의 농현을 분석하였다. Praat 소프트웨어의 script 기능을 활용하여 최충웅 가야금 정악 “천원지방”의 음반에 수록된 남창 가곡 평조 ⌜언락⌟ 음원에서 출현하는 11개 음에 대하여 여섯 개의 측정지점별 평균 피치값을 구한 후 기술통계를 실시하여 대표 평균 피치값을 음고로 산출하였고, 산출된 음고를 음정의 단위로 변환하여 가야금 정악의 농현에서 나타나는 다양한 양상을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 첫째, 퇴성은 추성을 동반하여 음계의 한 음 아래로 하행하면서 나타나며, 퇴성의 크기는 17.24 cent ~ 45.52 cent의 다양한 수치로 나타났으나, 퇴성이 나타나는 太, 南, 汰의 음에서 모두 50 cent 이하의 수치로 나타났다. 둘째, 전성은 음계의 한 음 위로 상행하면서 또는 한 음 아래로 하행하면서 나타나며, 전성이 나타나는 㑣, 太, 仲, 林의 음계 바로 다음 위 음의 음고에 가깝게 음을 내어 전성의 크기가 그 음정과 가까운 수치로 나타났다. 셋째, 추성은 음계의 두 음 아래로 하행하면서 나타나며, 추성이 나타나는 仲의 음계 바로 다음 위 음의 음고에 가깝게 음을 밀어 올려 추성의 크기가 그 음정과 가까운 수치로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 최충웅 연주의 평조 ⌜언락⌟ 음원에서 퇴성과 전성, 추성의 크기가 음계를 구성하는 음과 음정과 관련하여 발견되는 규칙성이 있음을 보여준다.

This study analyzed vibrato of Gayagum Jeongak, focusing on the size of pitches shown in toisung, jeonsung, and choosung by the purpose to provide basic scientific data that can independently understand the vibrato of Gayageum Jeongak. With using the script function of Praat software, this study calculated the average pitch values for each of six measurement points for 11 notes from in Namchang Gagok pyeongjo “Unrak” included the album “Cheonwonjibang” by Choi Choong-woong, then they calculated the average pitch values by performing descriptive statistics, then calculated the representative average pitch values by performing descriptive statistics. After that, finally, the calculated pitches were converted into a unit of pitch, and examined various aspects of vibrato of Gayagum Jeongak. As the result of the study, first, the size of toisung was less than 50 cent in all notes and it showed that the size of toisung has rules found in the scale related with the pitch. Second, the size of jeonsung was less than 200 cent and 300 cent and the size of choosing was less than 200 cent, and this values are very close to the notes and the pitches shown by jeonsung and choosung. So, it showed that the size of jeonsung and choosung have rules found in the scale related with the pitch. Finally, the result of study shows that In the album pyeongjo “Unrak” performed by Choi choong-woong the size of Vibrato shown by toisung, jeonsung, and choosung in the current Gagok played in Gayageum Jeongak has similar rules found in the scale related with the pitches and notes.
