빅데이터 세계, 실존과 타자의 의미를 가질 수 있는가?

Can Big-data Have the Conception of Existence and Otherness? : with Emphasis on the View of E. Lévinas

이 연구의 목적은 빅데이터가 실존과 타자의 의미를 갖는지를 탐구한다. 우리가 빅데이터에 관해 어떤 의미를 부여할 것인지를 레비나스의 입장에서 살펴본다. 빅데이터는 단순히 많은 양의 데이터가 아니다. 왜 빅데이터를 구성하는 것인지부터, 즉 그렇게 많은 특정한 데이터를 필요로 하는 이유를 설정하는 것은 바로 ‘내’가 된다. 그러나 나는 홀로 있는 것이 아니라 타자와의 관계 속에서 그 실존하고 관계성을 보존한다. 이러한 보존은 끊임없는 참된 얼굴로 사귐의 과정, 데이터와 데이터 간의 관계에서 내가 드러난 속임 없는 얼굴을 통해 내가 설정한 빅데이터 세계에서 실존하고 서로 종속된다. 따라서 의미 부여된 데이터의 타자가 나에게 종속되는 얼굴로 드러날 수 있고, 실존의 책임이 무한하게 될 것이다.

This paper aims to explore whether Big-data can have the conception of existence and otherness or not in the view of E. Lévinas. The concept of ‘Big-data’ does simply not mean a lot of data. As the starting point of the conception of Big-data, why needs data and construct Big-data is ‘I’. As he pointed out, ‘I’ exist in relationship to ‘other’ to whom I subject. That I subject to him or her enable me to expose the true my face and to preserve the relationship, otherness. In that sense, my goal that construct the context of Big - data is to realize the true face related to data, that is, others’ faces. In the world of Big -data, individual data subject to each other, which makes it unlimited to have responsibility for existence.
