음악 연주의 경험적 실제와 의미 구성: 자문화기술지 중심으로

The Musician’s Epiphany: An autoethnography

본 자문화기술지 연구는 음악 연주자의 경험적 서사를 바탕으로 음악 연주의 맥락에서의 몸과 마음에 관한 해석과 의미의 구성을 도모한다. 연주자로서 돌파의 경험적 서사를 통하여 음악 연주 맥락에서의 몸과 마음의 의미를 구성한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 몸은 자연적 이치의 앎의 근간이다. 둘째, 연주자의 몸과 마음의 상태는 깊이 연결되어 있다. 셋째, 연주자의 몸과 마음의 긴밀한 연결성이 회복될 때 자기 초월성을 경험할 수 있다. 경험적 지식의 구성주의적 특성 상 이 같은 연구결과는 앎의 완성이 아닌 더 나은 이해로 가는 과정이다. 본 연구는 국내 연구 동향에서 다소 희박한 음악 연주 및 음악 연주 교육 관련 연구의 기초 자료로써 음악 연주에 관한 통찰적인 지식을 도모하여 연주학의 발전에 기여한다.

This autoethnographic study derives from a breakthrough journey experienced as a professional musician. It explores, interrogates, and illuminates the musician’s epiphany, a reformation of the musician’s lived knowledge of the mind-body. In the findings, the epiphany manifested three primary concepts: Body, Lived agent of knowing; The embodied mind-body and sound, Lived agents of musical knowing; The unity of the body and the mind, Transcendental knowing in music. This study contributes to the underrepresented qualitative music performance studies and calls for cultivating our intrinsic mind-body as the lived musical agent.
