영국, 미국, 호주의 영유아를 위한 디지털 테크놀로지 활용 교육지침 분석

Analysis on educational guidelines using digital technology for children in the UK, USA and Australia

본 연구는 영유아를 위한 디지털 테크놀로지 활용 관련 교육지침을 국가 수준에서 제시한 국외 사례(영국, 미국, 호주)에 대한 분석을 통해 우리나라 영유아기 디지털 테크놀로지 활용 교육 지침의 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 영유아를 위한 디지털 테크놀로지 활용 교육지침을 제시하고 있는 영국, 미국, 호주의 문서를 토대로 문헌 연구를 실시하였다. 분석 기준은 각 국가별 교육지침과 OECD(2021)의 유아교육 디지털 활용에 대한 국가 분석 설문 내용을 종합하여 마련하였다. 분석 결과, 세 국가 모두 국가 수준에서 연령별로 영유아 발달에 적합한 디지털 테크놀로지 활용을 위한 교육지침이 제시되고 있었으며, 유아, 교사, 부모의 관점에서 알아야 할 디지털 테크놀로지 관련 내용이 구체적으로 안내되어 보다 의미 있는 영유아기 디지털경험을 지향하고 있었다. 이를 통해 우리나라 영유아를 위한 디지털 테크놀로지 활용 교육지침에 대한 방향성과 내용에 대해 사회적으로 공통된 합의가 무엇보다 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 나아가 영유아를 위한 디지털 테크놀로지 활용에 대한 사회적 합의가 국가 차원에서 유아가 알아야 할 내용과 교사/부모의 지원 방안 확립으로 연결되어 영유아의 놀이와 교육, 발달을 지원할 수 있는 방향의 디지털 테크놀로지 활용이 이루어져야겠다.

This study aimed to suggest the direction of early childhood educational use of digital technology. An in-depth research on overseas cases, presenting educational guidelines related to the use of digital technology for children at the national level, were proceeded. A literature review on each countries’ documents were conducted by an analysis standard, based on the educational guideline for each country and the OECD national analysis questionnaire on the digital use of early childhood education (OECD, 2021). The result indicate that it is necessary to have guideline for the use of digital technology appropriate for the early childhood children at the national level. In addition, it is necessary to establish the content that children need to know and the support measures for adults so that meaningful digital experience can be internalized during early childhood.
