사범계․비사범계 대학생들의 특성에 따른 플립러닝 수업의 학업성취도 및 수업만족도 영향

Effects of Filliped Learning Teaching Method on the Students’ Achievement and Satisfaction according to the Academic Press

본 연구의 목적은 학습부담감 특성이 다른 사범계와 비사범계 대학생들에게 플립러닝 수업을 적용하여 학업성취도와 수업만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 P 대학교에서 [특수교육개론] 강의를 수강한 대학생 97명이며, 연구자는 각각 4 집단에 대해 강의식 수업 혹은 플립러닝 수업을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 독립 변인은 사범계․비사범계 대학생들의 학습부담감 특성과 플립러닝 수업․강의식 수업 방법이며, 종속 변인은 학업성취도와 수업만족도였다. 연구설계는 이질집단사후설계를 적용하였고, 자료처리방법은 이원변량분석으로 학기말 성적결과와 객관적 수업평가 결과를 분석하였으며, 학생들의 주관적 수업평가와 강의 수강 소감문 등의 내용에 대해서는 질적으로 보완 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 사범계․비사범계 대학생들의 학습부담감 특성에 따른 플립러닝 수업의 효과가 학업 성취도에서 다르게 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 사범계․비사범계 대학생들의 학습부담감 특성에 따른 플립러닝 수업의 효과가 강의 만족도에 다르게 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 플립러닝 수업은 학생들의 대인관계, 의사소통, 독립적 학습, 비판적 사고, 문제해결, 소집단 협력 역량 향상에 도움이 되는 것으로 나타났다.

This study aims to explore the relationship between college students’ characteristics and teaching methods on students’ achievement and sense of satisfaction. Students’ characteristics in this study means two different tracks where students are able to get a teacher’s certification in the college in Korea, from college of education vs from other college that education. Teaching methods represents two different teaching methods used in this study, traditional direct lecture vs flipped learning method. In this study it is also explored that the flipped learning method has impact on students’ competencies development. It remains unknown if the same effect of the flipped learning exist in a classroom with students from college of education as in classroom with students from other college than education, but pursuing to get a teacher’s certification. Ninety six undergraduate students’ were employed as subjects in this study. Students’ final examination results on the subject of ‘introduction of special education’, students’ satisfaction ratings and students’ feedback on the class were used as dependent variable. Two way block design ANOVA was used to explore interaction effect between students’ characteristics and teaching methods. Qualitative analysis was also used to explore the impact of the flipped class on improveing students’ competence. Results indicated that students in a flipped classroom regardless their status also show a good performance as in traditional classes and sense of satisfaction. The results of this study suggest that students in a flipped class left more positive review on a flipped classroom.
