본 연구에서는 미래문제해결 프로그램의 발전, 내용, 및 프로그램의 행정적 실제를 종합적으로 분석하여 고찰하였다. 먼저 FPSP와 CPS 의 상호 상관적 발달을 분석하고, 둘째로 FPSP에서 사용하고 있는 창의적 문제해결의 과정프레임 (process frame) 인 FPS 의 내용을 음미하고, 마지막으로 FPSP의 요소과정과 프로그램의 수업실제를 분석하였다. FPSP는 미래주의, 창의적 문제해결 과정 및 팀워크의 세 가지 목표를 가지고 있다. 이를 요약하면 FPSP는 미래에 대하여 남과 더불어 창의적으로 사고하는 방법을 가르치는 것을 목표로 한다. FPSP는 CPS 모형을 FPS로 변형시킨 것이긴 하지만 현재는 상당히 독특한 측면도 가지고 있다. FPSP는 1974 년 개설된 이래 팀 문제해결등 여러 가지 과정들이 개발되었고 국제창의력 올림피아드(IC)도 개최하는 등 하나의 프로그램으로 발전하여 왔다. FPS 모형은 ‘3 개의 과정요소_6개 과정 단계―2 개의 사고국면―몇 가지의 사고 도구’라는 구조를 가지고 있다. 요소과정으로는 팀 문제해결, AbPS 아동 창의력, 시나리오 쓰기, 그리고 CmPS 지역사회 문제해견 요소 등이 있다. 수업은 5 개의 미래장면을 가지고 연중 실시된다. 끝으로 FPSP가 앞으로 해결해 가야할 과제도 함께 제시해 보았다.
To critically review the Future Problem Solving Program developed by E. Paul T01Tance in 1974, the study has examined (i) the correlational development of CPS and FPSP, (ii) the characteristic contents of FPS which is a process framework of FPSP, and (iii) its program components and lesson process. FPSP has very distinctive purposes of the program such as futurism, the creative problem solving sla.lls, and team-work, which made the program the most effective and successful and the strongest approach for structured problem solving in the world. It has unique purposes of teaching how to think creatively and futuristically \vith others. It adapted CPS of Osborn and Parnes to develop FPS to adjust to the educational settings, but FPS also came to have its mvn salient features through long historical development. FPS has process structure as of '3process components - 6 process steps - 2 thinla.ng phases - several thinl<lng tools'. Though FPSP has originally been developed as a team problem solving program, it evolved currently to have several program components such as team problem solving program, action-based problem solving, community problem solving and scenario-\vriting. FPSP continues as a year-long program and uses 5 future scenes. It also holds the International Conference annually.
