본 연구는 영재유아 및 일반유아의 창의성과 영재유아 어머니 및 일반유아 어머니의 5 인성요인, 창의적 성격, 양육효능감과 관계를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구에 참여한 유아와 어머니는 영재유아 89 명, 일반유아 147 명과 각각의 영재유아 어머니, 일반유아 어머니로 구성되었다. 측정도구로는 Torrance 창의적 사고 검사(TTCT), 5 인성 요인 (NEO-PI-R) 척도, 창의적 성격 검사(WI〈OPAY) 척도 그리고 양육효능감 척도가 이용되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 영재유아와 일반유아는 창의성의 모든 하위요인에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 영재유아의 창의성이 일반유아의 창의성보다 유의미하게 보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 영재유아의 창의성과 영재유아의 어머니의 인구통계학적인 특징과의 관계에서 영재유아 어머니의 학력에 따라 영재유아의 추상성, 영재 유아 어머니의 직업에 따라 영재유아의 정교성, 영재유아의 가정 가계소득에 따라 영재유아의 추상성, 종결에 대한 저항의 평균에서도 유의한 차이가 었는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 일반유아의 어머니의 인구통계학적인 변인과의 관계에서는 일반 유아 어머니의 직업에 따라 일반유아의 독창성, 일반유아 형제 수에 따라 일반유아의 추 상성의 평균에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 어머니의 성격 하위요인 중에서는 개방성, 양육 효능감의 하위요인 중에서는 양육능력, 학습지도능력, 훈육능력등에서 유의한 차이를 보였댜 각 하위 요인들은 영재유아 어머니의 특성이 일반유아어머니의 특성보다 평균이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 영재유아 및 일반유아의 창의성과 어머니의 5 인성요인과의 관계에서는 영재유아 독창성 요인이 영재유아 어머니의 5 인성요인 하위요인 중 유능성과 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 일반유아의 추상성 요인이 일반유아 어머니의 5 인성요인 하위요인 중 신경증과 유의미하게 부적인상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 영재유아 및 일반유아의 창의성과 어머니의 부모효능감과의 관계를 보면 영재유아의 독창성 요인이 영재유아 어머니의 양육능력, 학습지도능력에서 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 일반유아의 종결에 대한 저항 요인은 일반유아 어머니의 학습지도능력과 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the creativity of gifted and nongifted preschoolers and mother's characters. Mother's personality, creative personality, parenting self-efficacy were included in mother's characters. Eighty nine gifted and 147 nongifted preschoolers, and their mothers participated in this study. Torrance Test of Creative Thinl<lng(TICT), NEOPI-R(Revised NEO-Personality Inventory), What IGnd of Person Are You(WKOPAY) Scale of I(hatena-Torrance Creative Perception Inventory, and Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale were used in collecting data. A significant difference in creativity was found between the gifted and nongifted preschoolers. And Originality scores of the gifted preschoolers were found to be related to Conscientious scores of their mothers; Abstractness of Title of nongifted preschoolers turned out to be related to Neuroticism scores of their mothers. Also, Originality scores of the gifted preschoolers were related to General Parenting Ability and Leaming Guidance Ability of their mothers; Resistance to premature closure of nongifted preschoolers was found to be related to Learning Guidance Ability of thier mothers.
