본 연구는 유치원 만5세반 교사 38 명의 이야기 나누기에서 나타나는 교사_유아의 언어적 상호작용 유형을 알아보기 위한 목적으로 연구가 시행되었다. 연구대상은 경주, 울산, 포항에 있는 유치원의 만 5 세반 38개의 학급의 유아와 그 학급의 38 명의 유치원교사이다. 연구는 2달동안 38개의 각교실의 교사-유아의 언어적 상호작용을 비디오로 촬영하고, 그 내용을 전사하였다. 전사한 내용을 교사의 효과적인 언어적 상호작용 방법(전경원, 2000) 8가지를 토대로 상호작용을 질적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 교사의 언어적 상호작용 방법은 첫째, 교사가 질문을 할 때 유아가 제대로 반응하지 못 했을 때 유아가 옳은 정답을 끌어낼 수 있도록 ‘질문과 관련한 보조질문을 하는 형태', '즉각적으로 교사가 질문과 관련한 답을 하는 형태'들이 나타났다 둘째, 한 유아가 옳은 답을 할 경우 ‘옳은 담과 관련한 질문을 하여 다른 형태로 탐색하도록 하는 형태', ‘정답을 바로 받아들이고 넘어가는 형태'가 나타났다 셋째, 교사의 질문이 유아의 질문으로 바꾸어 나타날 때 ‘교사 자신이 던진 질문을 명료화 하고 다른 유아가 답하도록 하는 형태', ‘교사가 즉각적으로 답을 하는 형태', ‘다른 질문으로 넘어가는 형태'가 나타났다. 결론적으로 유치원의 이야기 나누기 활동에서 교사들의 언어적 상호작용 방법과관련한교사교육이 강화되어야함을알수있었다.
The purpose of the present study was to explore the type of teacher's verbal interaction in teacher-child discussion likewise it aimed to look into the deeper context in which the types of verbal interaction emerged. The participants of study were 38 classes of 5-year-old children and their 38 classroom teachers in Gyeongju, Ulsan, and Pohang. The study was carried out for 2 months which includes videotape showing the actual classroom setting exposing teacher's verbal interaction. The speech was transcribed. The tests used was written by "Gyeongwon Geon", containing a sort of 8 effective teacher's verbal interaction methods which deal more on Qualitative Methods for teacher's verbal interaction in teacher-child discussion. The results of teachers' verbal interaction showed, firstly how the teacher directly answers children's questions without soliciting from other children's responses. Secondly, how the children give answers for themselves. Lastly, how the children's questions which seem to have no relevance might be overlooked by teachers changing the topic. Consequently, it is important to develop assessment tools and training program for improving in-classroom kindergarten teachers question strategies and response techniques.
