본 연구는 대학수업에서 내러티브 스토리텔링에 대한 학습자 경험이 교육적 측면에서 활용 가능한지를 탐색하는 데 있다. 즉, 학습자들이 내러티브 스토리텔링 수업을 이해하고 직접 스토리텔링을 제작해 보도록 한 후, 교육적 효용성에 대해 학습자 인식을 살펴보고, 학습자 인터뷰와 성찰일지를 통해 강점과 개선점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 기존의 이론과 사례를 토대로 하여 내러티브 스토리텔링 교수학습방법을 설계하여 내러티브 스토리텔링 프로세스를 개발하였다. 이를 대학수업에 적용하여 내러티브 스토리텔링의 교육적 효용성에 대한 학습자들의 인식을 분석하였고, 이후 학습자들의 반응에서 교육적인 강점과 개선점을 탐색하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 내러티브 스토리텔링 수업 종료 후 교육적 효용성에 대한 학습자들의 인식이 전반적으로 향상되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 교육적 효용성 하위영역인 지식정 보창출과 학습효과의 효용성에 대한 인식이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 학습자를 대상으로 인터뷰 결과, 강점은 내러티브 스토리텔링 과제 제작 경험에서 주어진 과제에 따라 다양하고 창의적인 아이디어로 독창적인 결과물을 창조해내는 활동으로 이어질 수 있었다. 셋째, 내러티브 스토리텔링은 교육용 콘텐츠의 활용가치가 있어 교육적으로 유용하고, 교육적용 가능성에 대한 인식도 높았다. 한편, 개선점은 과제제작 시간 부족, 컴퓨터 활용 능력 부족, 회의시간의 불일치, 과제제작을 위한 저작도구 방법, 구체적인 스토리구성 전략방법을 등에 대해 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study is to find out how learners perceive the educational utility of narrative storytelling. For this purpose, learners were asked to create educational narrative storytelling. The findings of the study indicate that learner’s perception regarding the educational utility of narrative storytelling enhance after their experience of making narrative storytelling. This study designs a teaching and learning method and strategies using narrative storytelling based on the existing theoriesand practices, and develops a narrative storytelling process. For investigating the effects on learning outcomes and directions for improvement, quantitative and qualitative data were gathered and analyzed from learners’ performance and opinions. As a result, it is indicated that the teaching and learning method using narrative storytelling has the positive effects on learning outcomes. Especcially, they seem to perceive narrative storytelling enhanced after their experience of making educational narrative storytelling. Several strategies such as specific strategies of making story, enough time of making story, computer using skills were suggested to improve narrative storytelling.
