본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 학습부진아를 대상으로 학습컨설팅을 실시하여 이들의 주의집중력에 미치는 효과를 탐색하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 A초등학교 4, 5학년 학습부진학생 30명(실험집단 15명, 통제집단 15명)을 선정하였다. 본 연구는 윤채영, 김정섭(2010)이 제시한 학교기반 학습컨설팅 과정에 따라 학습컨설팅을 실시하였다. 대상학생에 대한 정보수집과 문제분석을 위해 진단검사는 학습능력진단검사와 주의집중능력검사 등을 사용하여 실시하였다. 진단검사 결과와 문헌연구, 학교의 요구사항을 반영하여 집중력 관리 중심의 학습컨설팅을 실시하기로 결정하고 맞춤형 개입 프로그램을 구안하였다. 구안된 학습컨설팅 프로그램은 학습부진의 주요 원인인 집중력 관리를 주제로 보조적인 학습전략을 추가하여 구안하였다. 실험집단에게는 방과 후 시간을 활용하여 10주간 학습컨설팅을 적용하였으며, 주의집중능력검사를 사전ㆍ사후에 실시하여 공분산분석(ANCOVA)를 통해 효과를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 실험집단과 통제집단의 주의집중능력에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이를 통해, 학습컨설팅이 초등학교 학습부진아의 주의집중능력 향상에 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.
The purpose of this study was to verity the effects of learning consultation on the management of concentration for underachieved students of elementary school. Subjects for this study were 30 underachieved students in the fourth and fifty grades. Learning consultation was carried out based on model of school based learning consultation(Yun & Kim, 2010). To diagnose and analyze students’ problems, two instruments were adopted: Learning Ability Diagnosis Test and Concentration Ability Test. With the result of the diagnosis, documentary research, and school’s need, it was determined to apply learning consultation for enhancing the management of concentration and to make the intervention program on demand. The learning consultation was performed for 10 weeks, and carried out Attention Concentration Ability Test(Lee, 2011) to analyze the effect of learning consultation. As a result, there were significant differences of total score, visual attention, aural attention, and continued concentration except learning concentration.
