본 연구는 청소년의 추상적 사고 수준과 시간관, 마인드세트 간의 관련성을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 초⋅중⋅고등학생 375명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사는 추상적 사고 수준을 측정하기 위해 행동정체성척도를 이용하였다. 시간관에서 미래지향적 시간관은 끈기, 계획성, 약속이행의 하위요인으로 나누고, 현재쾌락적 시간관은 충동성, 위험추구, 자극추구, 쾌락추구의 하위요인으로 나누어 추상적 사고와의 관련성을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 추상적 사고 수준이 높은 집단일수록 학업성취도와 성장 마인드세트, 미래지향적 시간관 성향이 높게 나타났다. 또한, 추상적 사고가 높을수록 미래지향적 시간관의 하위요인들은 모두 높은 것으로 나타난 반면, 현재쾌락적 시간관에서는 위험추구 요인만 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 추상적 사고와 학업 성취도를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 제언하였다.
There are many types of thinking abilities for living 21st Century. Since creative problem solving became one of the biggest issues in schools, the research about various kinds of thinking abilities such as creative thinking, critical thinking, logical thinking, and abstract thinking has been proposed recently. This paper focuses on abstract thinking among the various types of thinking. Due to the advent of IT, IT becomes an indispensable technology for human beings. Also, due to these phenomena, abstract thinking ability plays a key role in Computational thinking which begins to emerge with 3R (Read, wRite, and aRithmetic). In addition, since abstract thinking is reported to help problem solving and academic achievement, this paper propose an efficient way to improve abstract thinking ability by analyzing the factors that influence the abstract thinking ability. To achieve this purpose, we adopt time perspectives and the mind set focused on future change as the influential factors. For our paper, we surveyed 375 secondary school students, and then we used Behavior Identification Form for measuring their abstract thinking levels. Finally, we propose a way to improve abstract thinking level as well as academic achievement level.
