창의적 체험활동은 특별활동과 재량활동을 통합하여 2009 교육과정 때 신설되었다. 국가 교육과정에 제시된 성격은 목표에 반영되고 목표는 평가의 준거가 된다. 본 연구는 교육과정 개정 차시별 특별활동과 창의적 체험활동의 성격과 목표 및 평가의 변천 과정을 탐구하는데 목적이 있다. 특별활동과 창의적 체험 활동의 국가 교육과정 분석 결과, 특별활동의 목표는 2차 교육과정 때 처음 제시되었다. 평가라는 용어도 2차 교육과정 때 처음 등장하였다. 4차 교육과정 때에는 총괄목표와 하위목표 체제가 처음 사용되었다. 4차 교육과정 때 평가가 특별활동의 운영상의 유의점 하위 항목으로 편성되어 평가 관점과 실시 방법이 제시되었다. 6차 교육과정 때 특별활동의 성격, 목표, 내용, 방법, 평가의 5대 체제가 정립되었다. 7차와 2007 교육과정을 거쳐 창의적 체험활동이 도입된 2009와 2015 교육과정에서도 5대 체제가 지속되었으나, 체제상 일부 변화가 있었다. 특별활동과 창의적 체험활동의 성격과 목표 및 평가가 교육과정 개정 차시별로 점진적으로 개선되었으나, 창의성의 경우와 마찬가지로 창의적 체험활동의 성격과 목표 및 평가의 개념이 명확히 진술되지 않았고 형식적으로 개정된 것으로 나타났다. 향후 개정될 창의적 체험활동 교육과정에서는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 요구에 적합한 성격과 목표 및 평가 방법이 구체적으로 제시될 필요가 있다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the changes of characteristics, objective and evaluation of creative experience activity presented in the national curriculum. Creative experience activity was newly introduced to the 2009 curriculum, integrating extra-curricular activity and discretionary activity. The objective of extra-curricular activity was firstly presented in the 2nd curriculum. The term evaluation was also used in the 2nd curriculum. Extra-curricular activity was not given a system until it was presented in the 6th curriculum, which was composed of characteristics, objective, content, method and evaluation, and continued to the 2015 curriculum. In the 2015 curriculum, 6 core competences including creative thinking competence were introduced. Although the characteristics, objective and evaluation of creative experience activity presented in the national curriculum were improved progressively, they were still stated not clearly enough, as was the case with creativity. Therefore, it is necessary that the characteristics, objective and evaluation of creative experience activity presented in the national curriculum be stated more appropriately and consistently to fit in with the spirit of 4th industrial revolution era.
