장애인의 성생활 실태 및 지원방안에 관한 연구

A study on the reality of sexual life and supports of the disabled

본 연구는 장애인의 성생활 실현의 중요성에 주목하고, 이들이 경험하는 성생활의 어려움이 무엇이고 그 지원방안은 무엇인지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에, 경기도 장애인 성생활 실태조사에 응답한 장애인 243명과 FGI에 참여한 장애인 13명의 응답결과를 혼합분석하였다. 분석결과, 장애인 성생활의 장벽은 사회적 인식과 접근 미보장의 문제가 가장 큰 어려움으로 지적되었는데, 장애인을 무성적 존재로 인지하거나 장애인의 성을 억압하는 문화로 인하여 장애인의 성권리에 대한 교육, 정보 등이 부재하고, 이는 가족과 장애인 당사자에게도 자신의 성권리를 인지하지 못하게 만드는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 장애인 성생활 및 성권리와 관련된 정보와 교육 제공, 장애유형별 및 통합적 차원의 접근 필요, 장애인 성권리에 대한 인식개선, 실질 적용 가능한 교육컨텐츠의 개발, 정보제공, 장애인 당사자 단체의 성상담 활동가 양성, 의료적 지원, 심리 정서적 지원 및 전달체계 구축 등을 논의하였다.

This study paid attention to the importance of realizing the sexual life of the disabled, and tried to find out what difficulties they experience in their sexual lives and what factors cause such difficulties. Therefore, a mixed methods research was conducted on the responses of 243 persons with disabilities who responded to the Sexual Life Conditions of Disabilities in Gyeonggi-do and 13 persons who participated in FGI. As a result of the analysis, the barriers to sexual life of the disabled were pointed out as the biggest difficulty in social awareness and lack of access. Based on this, this study provides information and education related to sexual life and sexual rights of disabilities, necessity of approach by type of disability and integrated dimension, improvement in awareness of sexual rights of disabilities, development of practically applicable educational contents, information Discussions were made on provision, training of sex counseling activists in organizations for persons with disabilities, medical support, psycho-emotional support, and establishment of a delivery system.
