전문대학생의 다중지능 군집에 따른 학업성취도, 전공만족도, 삶의 만족도와 대학생활적응의 차이

The Differences of Academic Achievement, Satisfaction in Major, Satisfaction with Life and Adaptation of College Life according to Multiple Intelligence Clusters in College Students

이 연구의 목적은 전문대학생의 다중지능이 어떤 군집을 형성하는지를 탐색하고, 각 군집별로 학업성취도, 전공만족도, 삶의 만족도와 대학생활적응에 유의미한 차이가 있는지 살펴보는데 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 전북 소재 전문대학교의 12개 학과 학생 680명을 대상으로 다중지능발달, 삶의 만족도, 전공만족도, 대학생활적응 검사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였고, 동일 참여 학생들의 학업성취도를 활용하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 군집분석 결과 4개의 군집(전반적 상승 집단, 인간친화-자기성찰 저조 집단, 전반적 저조 집단, 언어-인간친화-자기성찰 상승 집단)으로 분류할 수 있었다. 둘째, 4개의 군집 간에 학업성취도, 전공만족도, 삶의 만족도, 대학생활적응에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 언어-인간친화-자기성찰 상승 집단이 나머지 세 집단보다 학업성취도가 높았고, 전반적 상승 집단이 다른 세 집단보다 전공만족도, 삶의 만족도, 대학생활적응 점수가 유의하게 높았다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 전문대학생을 위한 다중지능 활용 교수학습설계와 진로·심리상담 프로그램 개발 연구의 시사점이 제시되었다.

This study aimed to explore the clusters formed by multiple intelligence of college students and to investigate whether there was a meaningful difference for each cluster in terms of the academic achievement, satisfaction in major, satisfaction with life and adaptation of college life. 680 students from 12 departments, colleges in Chonbuk were selected as subjects for analyzing their multiple intelligence development, life satisfaction, satisfaction in major, adaptation of college life, and academic achievement as well. The results were as follows. First, the students were classified into four distinct types of groups by the results of cluster analysis, generally high intelligence group, interpersonal- intrapersonal intelligence low group, generally low intelligence group, and linguistic?interpersonal-intrapersonal intelligence high group. Second, this study showed statistical significance for four groups in their academic achievement, satisfaction in major, life satisfaction and adaptation of college life. Academic achievement of linguistic-interpersonalintrapersonal intelligence high group was higher than other groups. Satisfaction in major, life satisfaction as well as adaptation of college life of generally high intelligence group was significantly higher than other groups. The results can help professors in colleges and policy developers to develop various teaching learning programs by using multiple intelligence, career and psychological counseling programs.
