Development of Design and Implementation Strategy for Online Project Based Learning: Using Appreciative Inquiry

이 연구는 ‘온라인 프로젝트기반학습 설계와 실행 전략’을 개발하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 긍정 질문이 중심인 긍정탐색을 연구방법론으로 활용하였다. 주요 연구단계는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 프로젝트기반학습 설계 및 실행 전략 도출을 위한 긍정탐색 과정을 개발하였다. 둘째, 긍정탐색 과정을 통해 교수자들의 온라인 프로젝트기반학습에 대한 긍정경험(사례), 바람직한 온라인 프로젝트기반 학습의 모습, 온라인 프로젝트기반학습을 설계하고 실행하는 데 필요한 전략들을 수집하였다. 셋째, 수집된 자료를 종합하여 ‘온라인 프로젝트기반학습 설계 및 실행 전략’을 개발하였다. 연구의 주요 단계인 긍정탐색 과정에 초등교사 10명, 중등교사 10명, 대학교수 10명이 참여하여 자신들의 경험과 의견을 제시하였고, 의견을 토대로 개발한 ‘온라인 프로젝트기반학습 설계 및 실행 전략’에 대해 교육공학 전문가들이 타당성을 평가하고 수정 의견을 제시하였다. 연구 결과인 ‘온라인 프로젝트기반학습 설계 및 실행 전략’은 7개 영역 35개 전략으로 구성된다. 7개 영역은 4개의 설계 영역(A. 온라인 공간 설계, B. 학습 지원 설계, C. 과제 설계, D. 평가 설계와 도구 개발)과 3개의 실행 영역(E. 안내 와 지원, F. 수업 운영, G. 퍼실리테이션)이다. 35개의 전략 중 11개 전략은 온라인 공간과 직접 관련된 전략이고 그 외 24개 전략은 학습자 중심 교수‧학습 방법인 프로젝트기반학습 고유의 특성 및 온라인 공간이기 때문에 보다 주의를 기울여야 하는 전략이다. 연구 결과로 제시된 ‘온라인 프로젝트 기반학습 설계와 실행 전략’은 교수자들의 긍정 사례와 아이디어를 토대로 개발된 것으로 교수자들에게 실제적인 안내를 제공하고 자신감을 가질 수 있도록 돕는 역할을 할 것이다. 또한 온라인 학습 공간을 구성하고 개발할 때 참고할 수 있는 유의미한 자료가 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a design and implementation strategy for online project based learning. To achieve this purpose, appreciative inquiry(AI) based on positive questions was used as a research methodology. The study proceeded in three stages. First, an appreciative inquiry program was developed for deriving design and implementation strategy for online project based learning. Second, using appreciative inquiry, instructors' positive experiences, ideal figures, and implementation strategies for online project based learning were derived. Third, by integrating the collected data, a ‘design and implementation strategy for online project based learning’ was developed. 10 elementary school teachers, 10 middle school teachers, and 10 university professors participated in the appreciative inquiry program and presented their experiences and opinions. Experts and instructors evaluated the validity of the developed ‘design and implementation strategy for online project based learning’. The result of the study, ‘design and implementation strategy for online project based learning’ consists of 35 strategies in 7 areas. The seven areas are divided into four design areas (A. online space design, B. learning support design, C. project task design, D. assessment design and tool development) and three implementation areas (E. guidance and support, F. class management, G. facilitation). Among the 35 strategies, 11 strategies are strategies related to online space, and 24 strategies are strategies that require attention considering the unique characteristics of project based learning, which is a learnercentered teachinglearning method, and the characteristics of online spaces. The developed strategy will provide practical guidance to instructors who want to implement online project based learning and help them feel confident. In addition, it will be meaningful resources that can be referred to when organizing and developing an online learning space
