고등학생의 스마트폰 의존도, 우울 및 학업 무기력의 관계에서 주관적 학업성취도의 조절된 매개효과

The Moderated Mediation Effect of Subjective Achievement on the Relationship between Smartphone Dependence, Depression, and Academic Helplessness in High School Students

연구목적: 본 연구는 고등학생의 스마트폰 의존도, 우울 및 학업 무기력의 관계와 주관적 학업성취도의 조절된 매개효과를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상 및 방법: 연구대상은 한국아동․청소년패널조사(KCYPS)의 중1 패널자료 2,590명이다. 수집된 자료를 통해 고등학생의 스마트폰 의존도와 학업 무기력의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과를 살펴보았으며, LMS 방식을 통해 주관적 학업성취도의 조절된 매개효과도 살펴보았다. 연구결과: 스마트폰 의존도와 학업 무기력의 관계에서 우울의 부분매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 스마트폰 의존도가 학업 무기력에 미치는 영향에서 우울의 간접효과를 주관적 학업성취도가 유의하게 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구는 고등학생의 스마트폰 의존도가 우울을 매개로 학업 무기력에 미치는 영향과 주관적 학업성취도의 조절된 매개효과를 통해서 학생들의 우울과 주관적 학업성취도가 학업 무기력을 높인다는 것을 확인함으로써 이에 대한 교육적 방안을 모색하였다는 데 의의가 있다고 본다.

Purpose: This study examined the relationship between high school students' smartphone dependence, depression, and academic helplessness and the moderated mediation effect of subjective achievement. Method: The subjects were 2,590 middle school 1st graders from the KCYPS. Through the collected data, we examined the mediation effect of depression on the relationship between smartphone dependence and high school students' academic helplessness. Also, we analyzed the moderated mediation effect of subjective achievement through the LMS method. Results: Depression had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between smartphone dependence and academic helplessness. In the effect of smartphone dependence on academic helplessness, subjective achievement significantly moderated the indirect effect of depression. Conclusion: This study found that smartphone dependency increased helplessness through depression, and subjective academic achievement had moderated mediation effect on the helplessness of students, so high schools need educational endeavors for the students.
