This study was to investigate the degree awareness, self-efficacy, and preventive health behaviors related to the emerging infectious disease in nursing students, and to provide basic data on ways to improve them by identifying factors affecting preventive health behaviors. 227 nursing students were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 23.0 Program. As a result of the study, Awareness was found to be positively correlated with self-efficacy (r=.570, p<.001) and healthy preventive behavior (r=.489, p<.001). Self-efficacy showed a positive correlation with the healthy preventive behavior (r=.449, p<. 001). The predictive factor affecting the preventive health behavior was regular exercise (β=.18, p=.015), drinking (β=-.16, p=.009), quality meal (β=.13, p=.048), awareness (β=.29, p<.001), self-efficacy (β=.23, p<.001), explanatory power was 32.8%, and the regression model was statistically significant. Therefore, if you develop content that enhances awareness and self-efficacy against emerging infectious disease, and actively utilizes them when operating infection prevention programs, it will be an effective way to prevent the spread of infectious disease to the local community. And will contribute to the preventive health behavior enhance of nursing students.
