‘온라인 글쓰기 상담실’의 이론 구성과 운영모형 제안: 전남대학교 사례 중심

Suggestion of Theoretical Composition and Operation Model of 'Online Writing Center’: Based on the Case of Chonnam National University

이 연구의 목적은 코로나19 대유행과 함께 갑작스런 수요증가로 주목을 받고 있는 대학 ‘온라인 글쓰기 상담실’의 구축을 위한 이론과 그 운영에 구체적으로 적용할 수 있는 운영모형을 제안하는 데 있다. 문헌분석과 전남대 사례를 활용한 이 연구는 온라인 글쓰기 상담실의 배경이론으로서 사회적 구성주의 학습이론을 제안했다. 이 이론은 ‘온라인 글쓰기 상담실’에 참여하는 학생(의뢰자/상담원)의 글쓰기를 상호작용, 협력활동, 의미구성의 측면에서 종합적으로 이해하는 데 적합하다. 전남대 사례에 근거하여 제시한 운영모형은 사회적 구성주의 학습이론의 가치와 핵심요인이 온라인 글쓰기 상담실 운영에 적용되는 절차와 방법을 구체적으로 보여준다. 운영모형의 실제 적용은 대학이 처한 여건에 맞춰 적절한 방식으로 (재)조정할 수 있지만, 이 연구의 결과는 대학행정가와 글쓰기 교육 관련 연구자/교육자 모두에게 온라인 글쓰기 상담실의 사회적 역할과 교육적 효과를 인식하고 개발할 수 있는 구체적 자료로 기능할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to propose a theory for the establishment of an 'online writing center' at a university that is attracting attention due to a sudden increase in demand along with the COVID-19 pandemic, and an operating model that can be specifically applied to its working. This study using literature review and the case of Chonnam National University(CNU) proposed a social constructivist learning theory as a background theory for the center. This theory is suitable for comprehensively understanding the writing of students (clients/consultants) participating in the center in terms of interaction, cooperative activity, and meaning construction. The operating model presented based on the CNU case shows in detail the procedure and method in which the core values and factors ​​of the theory are applied to the operation of the center. The practical application of the operating model can be (re)adjusted in an appropriate way according to the circumstances of the university. However, the results of this study can serve as concrete data for both university administrators and writing education-related researchers/educators to recognize and develop the social role and educational effects of the online writing center.
