This study was an attempt to develop a multiple intelligence assessment program (the Korean version of Project Spectrum) and its derived Project Spectrum intervention program based upon Krechev-sky and Gardner's works. A total of 76 kindergarten children participated in this study. The first group of 40 children participated in the development of a multiple intelligence assessment program for one year except summer and winter vacation. After that, another group of 36 children divided into experimental and control groups, participated in the evaluation study of the Project Spectrum based intervention program. Children in the treatment group were provided with Spectrum-based intervention for five months. The results of this study show that Project Spectrum can be a new effective approach to assessment and curriculum development for the early years of schooling. Some limitations of this study and suggestions for future research using Project Spectrum are discussed.
