The present study investigated the relations between creativity and humor in Turkish bureaucracy. Results revealed that people who are at different positions in bureaucracy and who are suppose to make decisions and have others do actualize them had significantly higher scores in creativity (F=3.261; p<.05). Subjects who were in positions where they were expected to work in groups most of the time had higher scores in creativity (F=2.831; p<.05) and self-affiliative humor (F=5.220; p<.01), but not in other styles of humor. Subjects who liked group discussions and making decisions with the group had higher scores in self-affiliative humor (F=4.291; p<.01) and self- humiliative humor (F=2.965; p<.05), but no significant difference was found for social and aggressive humor, as well as creativity. Discussions about the findings are included.
