비교과 프로그램 분류체계 개선 방안 탐구: O대학 사례를 중심으로

A Study on Advancing Classification System for University Extracurricular Programs: The Case of O University

본 연구는 O대학 사례를 중심으로 비교과 프로그램 분류체계 개선 방안을 탐구하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 먼저 국내 13개 대학을 선정해 이들 대학의 비교과 프로그램 분류체계를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 핵심역량을 분류체계로 사용하거나, 분류체계의 기본원칙인 계층성에 기반하거나, 교육과정 개발의 주요 요소 중 하나인 계열화를 적용하여 비교과 프로그램을 분류하고 있었다. 다음으로 O대학이 기존에 사용했던 비교과 프로그램 분류체계의 문제점을 비판적으로 검토하였다. 그 결과, 분류체계의 기본원칙인 계층성과 명확성이 부족하였으며 비교과 활동유형의 분류도 방법과 내용이 혼재되어 있었다. 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 O대학 비교과 프로그램의 분류체계가 교육내용에서는 계층성･명확성 및 계열화를, 활동유형에서는 분류체계로서 포괄성을 갖추는 방안을 제안하였다. 그리고 O대학 비교과 분류체계의 확장 가능성, 체계적인 교육과정이자 대학의 특수성을 반영하는 비교과 프로그램의 운영･관리에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore ways to improve the classification system of extracurricular programs, focusing on the case of O University. For this purpose, 13 domestic universities were selected in a first step, and their classification system was analyzed. As a result, core competencies were used as a classification system, the curricula were classified on the basis of hierarchy, the basic principle of the classification system, or programs were classified by applying sequence, one of the main elements of curriculum development. Next, the problems of the classification system previously used by the O University were critically reviewed. As a result, hierarchy and clarity were lacking, and the methods and contents of classifying activity types were mixed. Based on the above results, we proposed an advanced plan to ensure the hierarchical structure, clarity, and sequence for educational content, and inclusiveness for activity types for the classification system of O University. Finally, the possibility of expanding the case of O University, and the management of extracurricular programs as a systematic curriculum reflecting the uniqueness of each university were discussed.
