지역교육공동체에 대한 학부모 인식과 개선 방안: 울산지역을 중심으로

Parents' Perceptions of a Local Educational Community and Improvement Plan: Focusing on Ulsan Area

본 연구에서는 지역교육공동체에 대한 울산지역 학부모들의 인식과 개선방안에 대한 목소리를 탐색하였으며, 이를 통해서 지역교육공동체와 관련된 학부모들의 맥락을 파악할 수 있었다. 분석 결과, ‘지역교육공동체가 필요하다고 생각하는가’에 대한 학부모들의 인식은 필요성에 대하여 강하게 인식하고 있었으며,‘지역교육공동체가 활성화된다면 참여하실 의향이 있는가’에 대한 질문에는 긍정적으로 응답하는 비율이 높았다. 학교급별, 학교 유형별, 자녀수별 차이를 분석한 결과, 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 한편, 학부모들의 입장에서 지역교육공동체의 개선 방안과 방향성에 대한 맥락을 파악해본 결과 ‘학교장의 리더십, 교사의 변화와 교사들을 위한 지원, 지자체의 적극적인 협력, 학교중심의 교육철학의 변화 필요, 지역의 특성과 학생이 주인공이 되는 방향으로의 변화’ 등으로 도출되어 학부모들의 지역교육공동체 개선에 대한 기본적인 방안들을 확인할 수 있었다.

In this study, parents' perceptions of a local educational community and improvement plans were explored, and the parents' contexts related to the local educational community were identified. The results of the analysis revealed that the parents were strongly aware of the necessity for a local educational community, and a high percentage of the respondents replied positively to the question ‘Would you be willing to participate if a local educational community was established?' Analyzing the differences by school level, school affiliation, and number of children revealed that there was no statistically significant difference. Conversely, examining the context of the improvement plan and direction of the local education community from the perspectives of parents revealed that the leadership of the principal, changes in teachers’ awareness and support policy, cooperation of local governments, the need for changes in school-centered education philosophy, local specialization orientation, and student-centered change were important concepts. Through these, it was possible to confirm the parents' opinions on the improvement of the local education community.
