전문적학습공동체에 관한 이론적 탐색에 관한 연구

A Study on Theoretical Search for Professional Learning Community

본 연구는 문헌분석을 활용하여, 전문적학습공동체 개념적 이해에 초점을 맞추어 전문적학습공동체에 대한 이론적 탐색을 목적으로 한다. 첫 번째로, 전문적학습공동체 도입배경 측면에서 전문적학습공동체는 학습조직이라는 용어에서 태동하였으며, 학습조직의 공통적인 특징으로서 1) 의도하는 목적, 2) 집단적이고 지속적인 학습, 3) 질 높은 집단사고 과정의 중시는 학습공동체에 대한 접근 방향 혹은 시각을 제시해 주는 측면으로 이해되어야 한다. 두 번째로, 개념적 용어 사용 측면에서, 교사학습공동체와 전문적학습공동체라는 완전히 구분되는 별개의 용어라고 이해되기보다는, 강조점을 달리하는 유사 용어로 보는 것이 타당하다. 세 번째로, 전문적학습공동체 개념과 관련한 쟁점 측면에서 공동체/전문성/학습 등 3가지 사안으로 구분하여 살펴보았다. 우선, 공동체의 범위 상 지역사회 차원의 공동체를 지향할 필요가 있다. 다음으로, 교사전문성 개념은 교직 재개념화 측면과 연계된 논의가 필요하다. 마지막으로 공동체적 학습이 추구하는 범위는 학교 체제와 문화의 재구조화 차원까지 폭넓게 규정될 필요가 있다. 결론적으로, 전문적학습공동체를 운영한다는 것은 단위학교 내 교수-학습 차원의 교사협의회 수준보다는 보다 성숙한 전문적학습공동체를 추구하기 위해서 지역사회 차원의 지역공동체를 지향할 필요가 있다.

This study aims to theoretically search the professional learning community, focusing on the conceptual understanding of the professional learning community, using literature analysis. First, in terms of the background of introduction of the professional learning community, the professional learning community was born in the term of a learning organization, and as a common characteristic of a learning organization, 1) intended purpose, 2) collective and continuous learning, 3) a high-quality group thinking process. The importance of ethics should be understood as an aspect that suggests a direction or perspective on the learning community. Second, in terms of the use of conceptual terms, it is reasonable to see them as similar terms with different emphasis rather than to be understood as completely separate terms of teacher learning community and professional learning community. Third, in terms of issues related to the concept of a professional learning community, it was divided into three issues: community/specialty/learning. First of all, it is necessary to aim for a community at the community level in terms of the scope of the community. Next, the concept of professionalism needs to be discussed in connection with the reconceptualization aspect of the teaching profession. Lastly, the scope of community learning needs to be broadly defined to the level of restructuring the school system and culture. In conclusion, to operate a professional learning community, it is necessary to aim for a local community at the local level in order to pursue a more mature professional learning community than at the level of a teacher council at the level of teaching-learning within a unit school.
