사회정의에 기반한 한 남성 상담수련생의 위치성에 관한 자문화기술지

An Autoethnography on the Positionality of a Male Counseling Trainee based on Social Justice

본 연구는 한 개인이 남성 상담수련생으로서 어떠한 위치성을 경험하며 살아왔는지 이해하고 사회 속에서 느낀 특권, 억압, 차별을 깨닫는 과정을 탐구하는 자문화기술지 연구이다. 이를 위해 Duncan이 제시한 자문화기술지 연구기준에 따라 연구자의 과거와 현재의 삶을 파악하여 사회 속에서 어떠한 영향을 받아왔는지 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, <가족주의와 외모자본주의 담론>, <차별의 교차성>, <사회 속에서 남성으로서의 나>의 3가지 범주가 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 성장과정 속에 연구자가 어떠한 위치성을 경험하며 자라왔는지, 그러한 위치성 속에서 형성되었던 정체성과 이를 성찰해가는 과정, 사회문화 속에서 규정된 특권, 억압, 차별을 무비판적으로 받아들이고, 이를 다시 깨닫는 과정이 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 논의를 한 뒤, 제한점과 한계점을 제시하였다.

This study is an autoethnography journal that examines the process of understanding what kind of positionality an individual has experienced as a male counseling trainee and realizing the privileges, oppression, and discrimination felt in society. Based on the research standards of the Autoethnogrphy journal proposed by Duncan, researchers identified the past and present life as the counseling trainee and examined how he has been affected in society. As a result of the study, three categories were derived <Discourse on familism and appearance capitalism>, <Intersectionality of discrimination>, and <Me as a man in society>. Through these research results, the process of reflecting on the identity and identity formed in such a position was derived as to how the counseling trainee experienced and grew in the process of his growth. It was also derived how the counseling trainee uncritically accepted the privileges, oppression, and discrimination stipulated in the social culture and realized it again. After discussing based on the results of this study, limitations and limitations were presented.
