예비유아교사의 유아교육 관련 유튜브 이용실태 및 요구 분석

Analysis on the use and needs of YouTube related to early childhood education of pre-service early childhood teachers

본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 유아교육 관련 유튜브 이용실태 및 요구를 분석하는 것 이다. 경기, 충청, 경상 및 전라 지역에 소재한 대학에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 270명을 대 상으로, 온라인 설문조사를 실시했다. 연구 결과 첫째, 예비유아교사들이 유아교육 관련 유 튜브를 이용한 기간은 전반적으로 5년 미만이었으며, 전공 관련 과제를 수행하기 위한 자 료를 탐색하거나 개인적으로 흥미롭거나 관심 있는 정보를 획득하기 위해 유튜브를 시청했 다. 주로 모의수업, 교재교구 제작 등과 관련된 콘텐츠를 시청했으며, 유튜브 시청을 통해 전문성을 높이고 자료 검색 시 편리함을 누리고자 했다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 유아교육 관련 유튜브를 지속적으로 이용할 것이라고 응답했으며, 유아교육 관련 유튜브가 효과적 으로 객관적인 정보를 전달하고, 새롭고 다양한 주제의 영상을 제공하길 바랐다. 본 연구는 예비유아교사의 유아교육 관련 유튜브 이용실태 및 요구를 파악하여 유튜브 이용자인 예비 유아교사의 특성을 이해하고 효과적인 유튜브 활용 가능성을 높이는 방안을 마련하는데 필 요한 기초자료를 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 더 나아가 시대적·사회적 변화에 맞추어 예비유아교사들이 유튜브와 관련된 바른 시각을 형성하고 유튜브를 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 역량을 갖출 수 있도록 교육해야 함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the pre-service early childhood teachers' use and needs of YouTube related to early childhood education. An online survey was conducted with 270 pre-service early childhood teachers attending universities located in Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang and Jeolla regions. The results are as follows. First, the period of pre-service early childhood teachers using YouTube related to early childhood education was generally less than 5 years. They mainly watched YouTube to explore materials needed to carry out tasks related to early childhood education major or to obtain information that they were personally interested in. They mostly watched contents related to mock classes or how to make teaching materials. And they wanted to improve their professionalism and enjoy convenience when searching for materials through Youtube. Second, pre-service early childhood teachers responded that they would continue to use YouTube related to early childhood education, and hoped that YouTube channels related to early childhood education would deliver objective information effectively and provide videos on new and diverse topics. This study is meaningful in that it provided basic data necessary to understand the characteristics of pre-service early childhood teachers and to prepare plans to increase the possibility of using YouTube effectively by identifying the actual conditions and needs of pre-service early childhood teachers' use of YouTube related to early childhood education. Furthermore, it suggests that pre-service early childhood teachers should be educated so that they can form the right perspective related to YouTube and have the capacity to use YouTube efficiently in line with the changes of the times and society
