본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주여성이 다문화해설사로 살아간다는 경험의 본질을 이해하고, 그 경험의 의미를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 다문화해설사 경험이 있는 결혼이주여성 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 이들의 경험과 인식을 분석하고자 포토보이스 연구방법을 사용하였다. 연구 참여자들은 ‘다문화해설사로 살아간다는 것은 무엇인가?’라는 주제로 교육 - 사진 자료 수집 - 사진에 대한 발표와 설명 - 경험과 소감의 공유 - 평가를 위한 그룹토의 순으로 포토보이스 연구방법의 전 과정을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 4개의 주제를 선정하여 연구참여자가 직접 촬영한 사진들을 바탕으로 자신의 경험을 나누는 집단토의 활동을 수행하였다. 이를 통해 다음과 같은 하위주제를 도출하였다. 첫째, 나에게 자녀란?(내 삶의 이유, 내가 지켜야 할 최고의 보물, 단단한 마음으로 자라주길 바라는 존재), 둘째, 직업의 의미(경제적 자립의 기반, 사회구성원의 일원이 된다는 것, 일과 가정 사이 갈등의 원인), 셋째, 다문화해설사로 산다는 것(우아한 백조, 모국을 알리는 민간 외교관), 넷째, 끊임없는 배움의 발견과 실천(자녀들에게 자랑스러운 엄마가 되고 싶음, 사회구성원 중 능력 있는 일원이 되고 싶음) 등이다. 본 연구는 결혼이주여성이 다문화해설사로 살아가는 경험과 그 의미를 심층적으로 분석함으로써 다문화사회의 문제를 해결하고, 성공적인 정책 실행을 위한 향후 시사점을 모색한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract The purpose of this study is to understand the essence of the experience of living as a multicultural interpreter for marriage migrant women and to explore what that experience means. To this end, a total of 5 marriage migrant women with experience as multicultural commentators were selected as research participants, and the photo-voice research method was used to pay attention to the vivid stories of the research participants and effectively reveal their experiences and perceptions. Under the theme of 'What does it mean to live as a multicultural commentator?', the research participants had [Education] - [Photo collection] - [Presentation and explanation of photos] - [Sharing experiences and impressions] - [Group discussion for evaluation] ], etc., the entire process of the photovoice research method was carried out. As a result of this study, four major themes were selected, and group discussion activities were conducted to share one's own experiences through photographs taken by oneself. As a result of the analysis, the following sub-topics [①What are children to me? (The reason for my life, The greatest treasure I must protect, The existence I want to grow with a firm mind), ②The meaning of a job(Foundation for economic independence, Becoming a member of society, Causes of conflict between work and family), ③Living as a multicultural commentator(Graceful swan, Civilians promoting their motherland diplomat), ④Discovery and practice of continuous learning(I want to be a proud mother to my children, I want to become a competent member of society)]. This study is significant in that it expanded understanding of marriage migrant women's experiences of living as multicultural commentators and their meaning by in-depth analysis, and sought necessary support measures and implications.
