청년세대의 여가활동 잠재유형과 결정요인

Latent class and determinants of leisure activities of the young generation

이 연구의 목적은 청년세대의 여가활동에 따라 특정한 유형이 존재하는지, 그러한 유형이 존재한다면 여가활동 유형을 구분 짓는 데에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이 논문은 청년세대의 여가활동을 설명하기 위해서는 사회경제적 특성과 더불어 이들이 가진 여가 특성을 살펴봐야 한다는 전제에서 출발한다. 분석을 위해 2022년 국민여가활동조사 자료의 19~34세의 청년 표본을 대상으로 잠재계층분석과 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 청년세대의 여가활동 유형은 ‘관계지향형’, ‘복합 여가형’, ‘문화예술관광 참여형’, ‘취미오락 무관심형’, ‘관계 무관심형’ 등으로 유형화되었다. 5가지 유형을 구분짓는 데에 영향을 미치는 요인은 성별, 가구소득, 직업, 거주지역 등의 사회경제적 특성과 여가시간, 스마트기기 이용시간, 일과 여가생활의 균형에 대한 인식 등의 여가 특성임을 확인하였다. 한편 결혼여부, 교육수준, 가구소득 그리고 여가비용은 청년의 여가활동 유형을 구분짓는 요인이 아닌 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석결과들을 바탕으로 청년세대의 여가에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether there are specific types of leisure activities of the young generation, and if there are such types, what factors influence the classification of leisure activities. This paper starts from the premise that in order to explain the leisure activities of the young generation, we need to look at their leisure characteristics along with their socioeconomic characteristics. For analysis, potential group analysis and multinomial logistic regression analysis were conducted for a sample of young people aged 19 to 34 from the 2022 National Leisure Activity Survey. As a result of the analysis, the leisure activity type of the young generation was classified into ‘relationship-oriented type’, ‘complex leisure type’, ‘culture/art/tourism participation type’, ‘hobby/entertainment type’, and ‘relationship indifferent type’. The factors that affect the classification of the five types are demographic characteristics such as gender, household income, occupation, and residential area, and leisure characteristics such as leisure time, time using smart devices, and awareness of the balance between work and leisure life. Confirmed. On the other hand, it was confirmed that marital status, education level, household income, and leisure expenses were not factors that differentiated the types of leisure activities of young people. Based on these analysis results, this study provides implications for the leisure of the young generation.
