실용무용 전공자의 중도포기 문제에 대한 고찰

A Study on the Dropout problem of Practical dance majors

본 연구는 실용무용 전공자의 중도포기 문제에 대한 경험을 탐구하고, 문제에 대한 심층적인 분석을 통해 현장의 목소리를 반영하여 실용무용 중도포기 문제의 본질적 문제와 그 원인을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저, 다중사례연구방법을 적용하여 실용무용을 중도포기한 전공자 5명을 대상으로 실용무용 경험과 중도포기 문제에 대한 인식을 탐구하였다. 다음으로, 도출된 결과물을 토대로 실용무용 경험과 중도포기에 대한 문제와 원인을 논의함으로써 본 연구의 시사점을 제공하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 실용무용의 참여 경험은 ‘자존감 향상과 인정욕구’, ‘댄서로서 명성 제고’, ‘자유로움과 불규칙한 생활’, ‘직업의 부정적 인식’으로 나타났다. 둘째, 실용무용 전공자의 중도포기 문제 인식은 개인적 문제와 원인으로 ‘경제적 난고’, ‘진로와 취업의 형국’, ‘신체적 고통’, ‘타인에 대한 열등감’으로 나타났고, 조직적 문제와 원인으로는 ‘희박한 성공률’, ‘집단 내 구설수’로 나타났다. 사회·환경적 문제와 원인으로는 ‘댄서에 대한 사회적 인식’, ‘정책 및 재정적 지원 부족’, ‘인권 보호와 복지 부재’로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 논의된 본질적인 실용무용의 문제와 한계를 타파하고, 해결하기 위한 강구책이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구가 실용무용의 발전과 성장을 꾀하기 위한 이론적 패러다임을 제시하고, 실용무용 전공자의 중도포기 문제를 해결하기 위한 촉매제 역할을 하기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of practical dance majors on the dropout problem, and to reflect the voice of the field through an in-depth analysis of the problem to examine the essential problem of the practical dance dropout problem and its causes. To this end, first, by applying the multi-case study method, 5 students who majored in practical dance who gave up on practical dance were explored for their practical dance experience and awareness of the problem of giving up. Next, the implications of this study were provided by discussing the problems and causes of practical dance experience and dropout based on the results obtained. The results of the study are as follows: First, the experience of participating in practical dance was 'self-esteem improvement and enjoyment', 'reputation improvement as a dancer', 'freedom and irregular life', and 'negative perception of the job'. Second, the recognition of the problem of giving up midway by practical dance majors was shown as 'economic difficulties', 'career and employment patterns', 'physical pain', and 'inferiority towards others' as personal problems and causes, and as organizational problems and causes It appeared as 'a rare success rate' and 'the number of rumors within the group'. Social and environmental problems and causes were identified as 'social awareness of dancers', 'lack of policy and financial support', and 'lack of human rights protection and welfare'. Therefore, it is necessary to come up with measures to overcome and solve the essential problems and limitations of practical dance discussed in this study. It is hoped that this study presents a theoretical paradigm for the development and growth of practical dance and serves as a catalyst to solve the problem of giving up on practical dance majors.
