The Shadow Analysis in the Sandtray

본 연구는 모래상자치료 사례를 통해 모래상자에 나타난 그림자의 의미와 의식화 과정에서 그림자의 역할과 기능을 살펴보았다. 연구 참여자는 5명이었으며 연구 방법은 모래상자에 나타난 그림자를 분석하는 것이다. 연구의 주요한 결과는 첫째, 참여자의 모든 모래상자에 그림자가 나타났다는 점이다. 둘째, 그림자는 모래상자에서 타인 또는 자신에게 투사되어 나타났다. 셋째, 모래상자에 나타난 그림자의 의식화 과정에서 그림자의 역할과 기능은 다양하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 연구 결과를 통해 상담자가 내담자의 그림자를 알아차리고 내담자가 자신의 그림자를 수용하여 개성화를 이룰 수 있도록 조력하기 위한 유용한 자료를 제공하였다는 점이다. 본 연구의 제한점과 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

This study examined the meaning of shadows on sandtray and the role and function of shadows in the process of consciousness through cases of sandtray therapy. There were five participants in this study, and the research method was to analyze the shadows on the sandtray. The main result of the study is that, first, shadows appeared in all sandtrays of participants. Second, the shadow appeared by projecting from the sandtray to another person or themselves. Third, the roles and functions of shadows appeared in various ways in the process of consciousness of shadows appearing in sandtrays. The significance of this study is that the results of the study provided useful data to help counselors recognize the shadow of the client and help the clients achieve individualization by accepting their shadows. The limitations of this study and suggestions for further research were presented.
