다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽 척도 개발 및 타당화

Development and Validation of a Career Barriers Scale(CBS) for Multicultural Elementary School Students of South Korea

이 연구는 다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽 측정도구(CBS, career barriers scale)를 개발하고 타당화하는 데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 이 연구에서는 Lent 등(2001)의 관점에 따라 진로장벽을 외적 장벽에만 국한하여 보는 일원론적 관점에 터하여 ‘중요한 타인의 부정적 피드백’, ‘진로지원 부족’, ‘경제적․문화적 제약’, ‘차별(성/인종/문화)’의 진로장벽 하위요인을 설정하였다. 그리고 각 요인에 타당한 문항들을 추출하고 진로교육, 다문화 교육, 측정도구개발연구 전문가 간의 내용타당도 검증을 거쳐서 예비도구를 제작하였다. 10명의 다문화 초등학생을 대상으로 예비도구에 대한 문항이해도검사 후, 총 34문항의 본 조사 도구를 완성하였다. 본 조사는 전국 다문화 초등학생을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 최종 200부의 자료가 분석에 활용되었다. 주요 연구 결과, CFA를 통해 개념타당도가 검증된 최종 4요인 총 28문항의 CBS가 개발되었다. 개발된 CBS의 모델 적합도 지수와 하위요인 간의 평균분상추출(AVE) 및 개념신뢰도(C. R.)는 이 연구의 판정기준을 모두 충족시켜 신뢰도와 타당도가 검증되었다. 그리고 사회적지지와 대처효능감의 측정도구를 준거로 각 하위요인 간의 상관성을 분석한 결과 모두 유의하여 CBS의 공인타당도가 검증되었다. 끝으로 다문화 초등학생 CBS 개발에 대한 함의와 이 연구의 제한점을 바탕으로 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purposes of this study were to develop and validate the Career Barriers Scale (CBS). Based on the review of previous studies, the concept of the career barriers was operationally defined to the experiences in the external, and items suitable for multicultural elementary school students were extracted. In addition, preliminary items were developed through content validity verification among experts in career education, multicultural education, and measurement tool development and research. The preliminary scale was administered to a sample of 10 multicultural elementary school students and item-score correlation and factor extraction were implemented. The revised scale consisting of 34 items was administered to a sample of another 200 multicultural elementary school students. And then, the CBS was finally developed, which consists of 4 factors and 28 items, including such factors as negative feedback from significant others, lack of career support, economic and cultural restrictions, discrimination (gender/race/culture). The CFA were performed in order to assess the construct validity. The 4 factor model was proved good fit to the data and all items had a significant effect to each construct from which it can be concluded that convergent validity is supported for all of the items. The construct reliability index and average variance extracted index indicated good reliability of this scale. Based on the results, some recommendations for further study and practices were suggested.
