다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽과 사회적 지지, 자존감, 자기효능감 및 대처효능감의 구조적 관계

The Structural Relations among Career Barriers and Social Support, Self-Esteem, Self-Efficacy, and Coping Efficacy of Multicultural Elementary School Students

이 연구는 다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 구조관계를 밝히는 데 목적이 있었다. 이를 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 개념적 가설 모델(CB Model)을 설정하여 적합도를 검증하고 둘째, 다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 직접적 영향관계를 밝히고 셋째, 다문화 초등학생의 CB Model 내에서 자존감, 자기효능감의 매개효과를 밝히는 데 세부 목표를 두고 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 대상은 전국 초등학교에 재학 중인 5, 6학년의 다문화 학생 200명이었으며, 유의표본 추출법으로 표집하고 이 연구에서 개발된 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 첫째, 이 연구에서 설정한 다문화 초등학생의 CB Model은 변인 간의 구조관계를 적합하게 예측하는 것으로 검증되었다. 둘째, CB Model 내에서 사회적 지지는 자존감, 자기효능감, 대처효능감 및 진로장벽에 직접 영향을 미쳤으며, 자존감은 자기효능감, 대처효능감 및 진로장벽에 직접 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 자기효능감은 대처효능감과 진로장벽에 직접 영향을 미쳤으며, 대처효능감은 진로장벽에 직접 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 다문화 초등학생의 CB Model 내에서 자존감과 자기효능감은 사회적 지지와 진로장벽 사이에서 간접적으로 영향을 미치며 각각 부분매개효과가 확증되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다문화 초등학생의 진로장벽 지각에 영향을 미치는 사회적 지지, 자존감, 자기효능감 및 대처효능감 간의 구조관계에 대한 함의와 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify structural relations among career barriers (CB), social support, self-esteem, self-efficacy and coping efficacy of multicultural elementary school students. For this purpose, structural model was set and analyzed, and the relations among variables within the model were identified. The study was conducted with 200 multicultural students in 5th and 6th grades enrolled in elementary schools nationwide. The findings of the study were as follows. First, the goodness-of-fit of hypothetical structural model of social support, self-esteem, self-efficacy, coping efficacy, and CB was satisfactory, which confirmed the structural relationships of the variables. Second, social support, self-esteem, self-efficacy and coping efficacy have direct effect on CB of multicultural elementary school students. Third, in CB Model, it was confirmed that self-esteem and self-efficacy had an indirect effect between social support and CB. Based on major findings, some academic and practical implications were presented in the conclusion section.
