결혼이주여성의 한국어 사용능력이 가족생활에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on the Effects of Korean Spoken Capability on the Family Lives of International Marriage Migration Women

본 연구는 결혼이주여성의 한국어 능력이 가족생활에 어떤 영향을 미치고 있는지 분석하고, 이주 여성의 한국어 이해 증진 및 가족생활 제고 방안을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 경기도가족여성연구원이 2006년 수집한 경기지역 결혼이주여성 810명 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과에 의하면, 이주여성의 한국어 사용능력은 낮고, 한국어 학습기회를 가졌던 사람도 많지 않았고, 여가생활을 비롯한 가족생활 의사결정 참여도 낮았다. 특히 이주여성의 한국어 사용능력은 여가생활이나 가족생활 의사결정 참여에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤고, 가족생활의 내용에 따라 남편의 정보, 결혼 유형, 자녀 유무, 취업 여부 등이 가족생활에 유의미한 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 이주여성의 한국어 사용능력 개선과 가족생활 참여 제고 방안을 제안하였다.

The purposes of this study are to analyze the effects of Korean spoken capability on the family lives of international marriage migration women and to suggest some policies to improve their understanding of Korean and their family lives. In order to do this work, this study used the data of 810 international marriage migration women collected by Gyeonggi-do Family and Women's Research Institute in 2006. According to the data analysis, migration women were found to be difficulty in speaking Korean, to have few opportunity to learn Korean, to be low in participating in leisure activities and making decision process of family affairs, and to be low in the satisfaction of married life. In particular, migration women's Korean spoken capability has a significant effect on the participation in the leisure activity and decision-making process of family affairs. And migration women's husband's information, marriage types, children, employment have partly a significant effect on their family affairs. From those findings this study suggest some policies to improve their understanding of Korean and their family lives.
