시각 지원 웹 접근성 지원 도구 연구

A Study on Visual Assistive Technology for Web Accessibility

본 논문에서는 저시력자나 전맹인과 같은 시각 장애인들이 컴퓨터를 사용하거나 인터넷에 접속할 때, 적용 가능한 웹 접근성 지원 도구를 조사하고 선정 가이드라인을 제시한다. 시각 지원 웹 접근성 지원 도구는 그 구현방식이나 운영방식에 따라 스크린 리더, 웹 리더로 구분되며 그 종류 또한 매우 많아 사용자들이 제품을 선정하는 것 또한 어려움이 많다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 각 시각 지원 웹 접근성 지원 도구를 소프트웨어(SW) 관점에서 고려하여 각각의 장단점을 살펴본 후 적용 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 가이드라인을 기초로 시각 지원 웹 접근성 도구의 적용 과정에서 어려움이 해소되었으면 한다.

In this paper, when the low vision and blind people want to use a computer or to connect to the Internet, we investigate Web accessibility assistive tools that can be used by them, and present guidelines of their selection. Visual aid Web accessibility assistive tools are categorized with Screen Reader and Web Reader along to the implementation method and their execution environment. Because the number of assistive tools is too many, it is difficult to select which is the best for the low vision and blind people. To reduce the difficulties, by taking into account from the point of view of SW assistive tools, we considered the advantages and disadvantages of several types, and have presented guidelines. On the basis of the guidelines presented in this paper, we hope that the problem will be eliminated in the process of applying visual aid web accessibility tools.
