의사소통장애 노인들을 위한 자신만만 보완대체의사소통(AAC)판 개발

Development of ‘Self-Confidence’ AAC Board for the Olds with Communication Disorders

배경 및 목적: 최근 의사소통장애를 해결하기 위하여 디지털 기기를 기반으로 한 다양한 AAC 도구들이 개발되고 있지만 노인들은 디지털 기기가 익숙하지 않으며 사용 상에 장벽이 있다. 따라서 본 보고서에서는 노인들이 사용하기에 쉬운 의사소통 판의 형태로 필수 어휘나 문장을 쉽게 전달하고 자신만만하게 사용가능한 AAC 도구를 개발하고자 하였다. 방법: ‘자신만만’ 의사소통 판은 주변에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 무선 장난감 자동차의 회로를 이용하여 노인이 왼쪽, 오른쪽 버튼을 누름으로써 보호자를 호출하고 의사소통 추를 움직이게 하는 마우스 리모컨, 필수 어휘 및 문장 카드를 부착할 수 있고 의사소통 추가 회전하여 의사소통하고자 하는 필수 어휘 및 문장 카드를 가리키게 되는 의사소통 판, 그리고 보호자를 호출할 수 있는 보호자용 수신기로 구성하였다. 결과: ‘자신만만’ 의사소통 판은 의사소통장애 노인들의 사용 상 편이성을 증대시키며 또한 노인뿐만 아니라 보호자의 편의성도 증진시킬 수 있다. 논의 및 결론: 의사소통장애 노인과 보호자가 보다 원거리에 있더라도 보호자용 수신기가 작동할 수 있도록 기술적인 보완이 필요하다.

Background &　Objective: Now, a great number of AAC are developed in various types based on digital device. However, the elderly are not familiar with digital devices, which may create a barrier in using the device. Therefore, in this report, the purpose is to develop AAC tool which can be ‘self-confidently’ used and deliver basic vocabulary or sentence as a form of communication board, easily usable for the elderly. Method: The mouse remote control uses circuits of wireless toy cars which are easily accessible around to call guardians and to move communication pendulum. The communication board is where the pendulum rotates to point the card of many attached basic vocabulary and sentence cards which the user tries to communicate. The receiver is for the guardian to receive calls from the user. Results: ‘Self-confidence’ AAC board increases the convenience for the elderly with communication disorders when using. Furthermore, it increases the convenience not only for the elderly but also for the guardians. Conclusion: When the elderly with communication disorder and his guardian are further apart from each other, the receiver for guardian should be operable so it needs technical complement.
